Katie Price branded ‘scammer’ after fans paid £100s and got nothing back

Katie Price has been dubbed a “scammer” by disgruntled fans who spent £100s and got nothing back.

The model and businesswoman, 46, is currently facing legal battles related to a £760k unpaid tax bill that she could not pay, leading to her arrest and subsequent bankruptcy. Now, she is facing another wave of fury from fans after many lost out on hard-earned cash due to her endorsements.

Currently sunning herself in Cyprus, Katie – who remains bankrupt – has been finding ways to pay the bills, including taking on sponsorship deals. For one of the companies she partnered with, JYY London, she modelled some of the various outfits they had on offer.

On top of her modelling gig with the business, she also has been busy flogging some of their items on her TikTok account, as well as on Instagram. However, for some fans, this fashion dream soon turned into a nightmare, after the clothes they ordered never arrived.

As a result, banks are having to issue refunds through chargeback services to customers who flagged “disputes”, arguing that the company did not give them their items. A number of disgruntled costumers vented their frustrations on the company’s Trustpilot page.

Other fans were floored when the company, now owned by Katie’s good pal Jeyda Yilmaz, gave people the chance to have a lucky dip. The game included prizes as small bags of goodies and discount codes – none of which proved to reach customers.

Speaking to The Sun, one customer was left fuming and declared she would never buy from JYY London again after the order she shelved out £82 for – including next day delivery – never showed up. Suzanne said: “Katie is promoting this; the thing is, they’re still responding to queries about the clothes on social media.

“I saw someone said, ‘Have you got this in a size 12?’ and they reply to that,” she added. “I’ve reached out through all different platforms and nothing.

“It’s disgraceful. I contacted the bank and they put it down as fraud and refunded me yesterday.”

Some other unhappy fans revealed they had been waiting for some two months for their items, but have never arrived. “Nobody is getting back to me, I’m trying to get your attention can someone please get back to me,” they penned.

Katie is not the only one who has worked with the company, including Chloe Ferry

A number of other well-known stars have worked with the brand before, including Geordie Shore icon Chloe Ferry. Daily Star has approached JYY London for comment.

It comes as Katie continues to be hit with financial issues after she was declared bankrupt for a second time in March. Court dates for October were due to be held in regard to the outstanding tax bill, but Katie opted instead to head out on holiday to Cyprus with lover JJ Slater.
