David Walliams set to make TV comeback after being axed over BGT ‘f**k her’ leak

David Walliams is set to make his TV comeback. The Little Britain star will be one of the celebrity experts on hit game show The Wheel next weekend.

It will be his first high-profile TV appearance since he was axed from Britain’s Got Talent in 2022 after recordings were leaked of him being offensive.

The audio recordings saw him bad mouth a number of contestants during audition stage episodes in 2020.

The derogatory remarks were recorded during an audition show at the London Palladium in January 2020. It saw David call an elderly contestant a “c**t” three times while speaking to an unknown party at the judges’ table.

In another recording, he was overheard referencing his erection and making sexually explicit comments about a female contestant. When another female contestant walked off stage David could be heard in the leaked recording saying: “She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t.”

A show insider told me: “Since David left Britain’s Got Talent, he has practically disappeared from television. But he’s now making his big return to our screens on The Wheel. It marks his return to primetime. It will be the first test of whether the public still love him or not.”

David filmed his appearance for The Wheel earlier this year. He was taking part alongside Gladiator Sabre, presenter Angela Scanlon, former footballer Dion Dublin, and radio host Clara Amfo.

Businesswoman Sara Daves and This Morning ’s Dermot O’Leary completed the line-up. Our insider added: “David loved being back in front of the camera.”

Watch it on Saturday at 8.20pm on BBC One.
