Usher sung some seriously raunchy lyrics when he was barely a teen.
On August 30 1994, Usher released his self-titled debut album under the co-executive production of Sean Combs, better known as P Diddy. The catalogue hit number twenty five on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart, but received huge backlash from the public as they began to realise how old the singer was.
His album was accompanied with his singles Can U Get Wit It, Think of You and The Many Ways, songs that feature a number of raunchy lyrics – at times, even outrightly explaining that he’s looking for a “sexual thing”.

Lyrics from his song Can U Get Wit It read: “I ain’t tryin’ to be funny, it’s only a sexual thing. Can you get with it? It’s like that, it’s only a sexual thing. Can you get with it? It’s like that, you’re gonna love the joy I bring.”

Usher’s other hit single The Many Ways features the lyrics: “I miss you in my life, yeah, I’m on a mission just to please you right […] But first we must be friends, I’ll keep my love coming, oh, love coming, girl we can win.”
When he was just 13-years-old, Usher was sent to live with P Diddy who would have been in his early 20s at the time. The pair reportedly met after the teen signed a record deal with LA Reid, who was allegedly the person that sent him to New York City.

A recently resurfaced interview from 2004 shows the Confessions crooner reminiscing about the “crazy” things he saw while living with Diddy. He revealed that the rapper introduced him to “a totally different set of s***,” with “specific” emphasis on “sex”.
Usher said: “Sex is so hot in the industry, man. There was always girls around. You’d open a door and see somebody doing it or several people in a room having an orgy. You never knew what was going to happen.”
While talking on The Howard Stern Show, Usher described what he saw as “pretty wild” and confessed he saw “curious things” back in those days.
