‘Kyle Walker’s wife Annie Kilner is right to file for divorce – being a WAG was hell’

A former WAG says Kyle Walker’s wife, Annie Kilner, is right to file for divorce.

Annie, 31, reportedly served the Manchester City ace with divorce papers and she is now preparing to fight for half of his £27million fortune. According to The Sun, the pair are no longer on speaking terms and the relationship has “turned ugly”. Walker, 34, has also contacted his lawyers, with a source telling the outlet: “Kyle was stunned when he got the papers.”

But Stephanie Heaney, who dated Rangers hero Nacho Novo, has no sympathy for the England defender.

And the 40-year-old mum believes Annie will get the peace she deserves from splitting with the serial cheater.

The Scottish Playboy model told us: “I think Annie has 100% done the right thing to protect herself and her children. She took him back and tried but I think she’s made the correct decision – I feel really sorry for her.

“Footballers have women chasing them and they get lots of attention for all the wrong reasons and they all know they can basically do as they please. It’s a shame as I feel not all but a lot take advantage of that. I just hope Annie and Lauryn can both move on and find happiness in life.”

Walker and Annie’s relationship came into question after the England defender secretly fathered a second child with Lauryn Goodman. Annie and Walker married in 2022 after he proposed with a £250,000 engagement ring – and the couple have three kids together. But things turned sour after she found out about Walker’s affair with Lauryn.

Giving her take on the messy saga, Stephanie concluded: “Hopefully Annie can now have a more peaceful life with less stress and anxiety. I can really relate to how bad she will be feeling.”

Stephanie dated former Spanish striker Novo for two years before she dumped him. The pair met in 2017 and the following year she helped the Ibrox legend recover from a heart attack he suffered playing in a Gers legends match.

She even had the footballer’s name inked to her wrist before she later replaced it with a tribute to her sister, Lyndsey, who took her own life in 2019.

And the glamorous content creator recently spoke about her ordeal to the Daily Star four years on – revealing she even fell out with family members over the turbulent relationship.

She said: “I went through hell. Having to deal with women here, there and everywhere messaging me constantly. If I spoke out and defended myself or had the proof this was happening no matter what I was a target to the fans.

“Your personal life becomes everyone’s business and it really does cause a lot of stress and anxiety. You can’t win against millions of fans. No one protected me or cared because they were fans. Even my own family I had to remove out my life.

“Footballers seem to think they can do what they want when they want and they always get away with it because the fans worship them.”
