Liam Payne ‘predicted his death’ as he told ex ‘I’m going to die’ after split

Liam Payne’s ex Maya Henry has claimed he told her he was “going to die” after they split up.

The One Direction star, 31, tragically passed away on October 16 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina. His ex Maya appeared on Monday’s episode of The Internet Is Dead podcast where she spoke about Liam’s mental health battle.

On the pod, she alleged that he would message her repeatedly since the two separated and claimed that he would always “play with death” and predict that he is going to die. Model Maya, 23, said: “He would always message me ever since we broke up [saying], ‘Oh, I’m not well.’”

“He would always play with death and be like, ‘Well, I’m going to die. I’m not doing well’.” She also revealed he would use “manipulation tactics” to make her feel bad for him.

She added: “There was one time I tried to get him help and then he was not taking it. He would text my mom, ‘I’m not doing well, have Maya contact me,’ because I wouldn’t respond.”

Since his death, Maya’s representative told the Daily Mail: “Right now, she is obviously in shock.” The 911 call before is death from worried hotel staff has now been released by local Argentinian press.

Staff at the Buenos Aires hotel called emergency services before his death, a hotel worker, identified as Esteban, said: “We have a guest who is off his head on drugs and alcohol.

“And well, he is conscious he is destroying everything in the room. And well, we need you to send someone, please. We need you to send someone urgently because, well, I don’t know if the guest’s life is in danger. They must be in a room that has a balcony.

“And well, we’re a little bit worried he’ll do something, that he’ll put his life at risk.”
