Liam Payne’s son Bear, 7, set to become multi-millionaire after father’s devastating fall

Friends, family and fans of Liam Payne have been sending out their heartfelt tributes to the former One Direction star.

Many have sent their thoughts and prayers towards his seven-year-old son, who he shares with Cheryl Tweedy. Liam passed away after falling from the third floor of his balcony at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16.

Reports say the singer suffered serious injuries “incompatible with life”. Now, his son, Bear, is reportedly set to inherit all of his dad’s net worth.

Estimates from the Mail say Liam’s net worth is said to be over $70million (£53.6million). This was mainly gained during his time with One Direction. The group released five albums together and sold more than 70million copies worldwide.

Not only that, Liam had a successful solo career after One Direction went on a hiatus in 2016. The star had recently moved to a spacious mansion in Florida alongside his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

He owned a home in Buckinghamshire and he previously owned properties in Surrey and a mansion in Calabasas, California, which was reportedly sold in 2021.

Liam previously did a podcast interview with Logan Paul. Back in 2022, he told him that everything he owned was going to Bear. “My life now is his [Liam’s son Bear], my money is his. I have actually got several companies that are up and running that I know he can run one day if he wants to or [he can sell them].”

It is not known whether Liam had a will. By law, his estate is expected to pass down to his son. However, Bear is a minor so it is likely his money could be passed to Liam’s parents to look after until he is 18 and the legal age to handle his inheritance.

Liam’s fellow bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, shared a tribute to him and Bear. He wrote in an Instagram post: “I would have loved to share the stage with you again but it wasn’t to be. I want you to know that if Bear ever needs me I will be the Uncle he needs in his life and tell him stories of how amazing his dad was.”

Similarly, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik shared their own heartfelt tributes. The former band also shared a joint statement: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. For now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.”
