Comedian and presenter Paddy McGuinness and model wife Christine first announced their split back in 2022 after 11 years of marriage, but have chosen to carry on living together for the sake of their children.

And in an interview with The Sun, Christine explained that the decision to do so was because they both believed on putting their kids first. She told the publication: “It’s the one thing that we completely agree on – the children’s needs come first.

“We don’t want them to be affected by anything. Patrick’s diary is busy, as it always is, so he very much dips in and out of the home, because he’s working away a lot.

“The same as when I was his wife, I’m there to support the children when he goes out to work – that’s how it is. When he comes back, that’s when I’ll try to put some of my work in.

“It doesn’t affect the children, because they’re not moving anywhere. They’re in one home, in their beds every night, and Mummy and Daddy come and go depending on our work schedules.” The former couple share 10-year-old twins Penelope and Leo, and seven-year-old Felicity.

TV star Christine looked incredible on the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards last night as she dressed to the nines in a purple frock. Talking about her outfit, Christine added: “It only took me 40 minutes tonight – I’m really proud of myself. I just can’t wee tonight as I’m not sure how I’m going to sit at the table or fit through the door,” as she looked at her puffy dress.

The former Real Housewives of Cheshire also highlighted how much of an important event the awards are, by saying: “I absolutely love it every single year I make sure to put it on my calendar to make sure I can go out of all the things we go to, this one is about the real heroes. It’s amazing, it’s an honour to be here.”
