Nicole Kidman forced to stop filming saucy new film due to ‘too many orgasms’

Nicole Kidman had to halt filming on her new erotic drama Babygirl as she was getting too turned on.

The 57-year-old actress plays a high-powered CEO, Romy, who gets embroiled in a steamy affair with a much younger intern, Samuel. She stars alongside The Iron Claw star Harris Dickinson, 28.

The pair shared several intimate scenes but it seems like at times it was simply too much for Nicole, who also had such scenes with Antonio Banderas, playing her husband Jacob in the A24 movie. The Hollywood star said that at one point, she had to take a break from all the on-screen pleasure as she felt ‘burnt out’ by all the ‘orgasms’.

She told The Sun: “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me’.

She went on: “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it.’ It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”

Nicole said she was attracted to the film as it was “an area [she’d] never been in her career. She said: “I’ve always been on a quest as an actor, I’m always going, where have I not been? And what can I explore as a human being? And this was an area I’d never been.”

In her speech at the Venice Film Festival, the film’s director Halina Reijn said that the affair in Babygirl allows Kidman and Dickinson’s characters “to play out their confusion around power, gender, age, hierarchy, and primal instinct. Despite its forbidden nature, the joy of that exploration is liberating, even healing.”

Kidman has already received critical acclaim for the movie. She won Best Actress for her performance in the saucy flick after it premiered at Venice.

Babygirl is out in cinemas on January 10, 2025.
