Love Island’s Chris Taylor says he is open to finding love on Dancing on Ice.
The reality star – who was in the villa looking for love in 2019 and again in this year’s All Stars series – is lacing up his skates to compete on the upcoming series of the ITV skating competition. And he has shared that he isn’t ruling out finding love on the ice.
The so-called Dancing on Ice ‘curse’ has seen celeb contestants like David Seaman marry his dance partner, Frankie Poultney. However, Chris admitted that given his love life so far, he “wouldn’t back” himself in the romance stakes.

He was quizzed about his upcoming ice-skating stint as he attended Captain Morgan and Pepsi MAX’s immersive pop-up, The Mixer, at Shoreditch’s Kachette. Asked if he hoped to find Mrs Taylor at the rink, he joked: “My mother? That’s my mother, Mrs Taylor.”
But he went on: “Do you know what – it’s one of those things, you spend a lot of time with the people that are on the show, you spend a lot of time with your dance partner. If something happens it does.
“I don’t know. I mean obviously I’m not great at these things as you can see from Love Island 2019 and Love Island – All Stars 2024.”
“I’ve got a proven track record at being terrible at dating so anything can happen but I just wouldn’t back myself for it to happen,” he added.
Chris, 34, didn’t have the smoothest road on Love Island. In the 2019 show he formed connections with Maura Higgins and Harley Brash but ended up getting dumped from the island just over two weeks after he entered the show. He didn’t end up finding The One in All Stars either, and was dumped on day 26.
The star is joining a stellar line-up for Dancing On Ice, which starts in the new year. Other celebs taking part include EastEnders’ Charlie Brooks, The Traitors star Mollie Pearce, former footballer Anton Ferdinand, TV star Michaela Strachan and Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey.
Captain Morgan and Pepsi MAX brought the stars out for ‘The Mixer’ in Shoreditch, which blended a convenience store with a house party to celebrate the launch of the new Captain Morgan premixed can with Pepsi MAX. Sign up for the house party event tonight (24th) at ‘The Mixer’ at https://www.captainmorgan.com, or visit the convenience store in the daytime and use the ‘ATM’.
