Kerry Katona has given fans a concerning update on her mum’s health as she remains in hospital.
The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, broke the news to her legions of fans through an Instagram story on Sunday evening (October 27). It came after her mum Sue was rushed to hospital just a few days ago needing immediate medical help.
Revealing all in a video uploaded to her Instagram story, the star said that Sue was “not in a good way” and confirmed she had been admitted to hospital. The shock news was followed by confirmation by doctors that blood clots had been found on Sue’s lungs, prompting Kerry to become emotional and plead for prayers.

Fans were quick to gush over the star’s mum and wish Sue well as she faced immediate medical treatment. Now, days on from her initial admission, the Scouse lass has broken her silence to keep her followers in the loop.
Uploading another video to her Instagram story, Kerry confirmed that Sue was still in hospital, but added there had been further developments thanks to tests. “Hi everyone – just to give you an update on my mum,” she said, “she wants to say thank you so much for all her well wishes.
“Update on my mum’s health; she’s still not very well – there is a clot attached to her heart,” she added. “There’s so many underlying problems with my mum.”
Kerry went on to address her mum directly, as she said that she knew “she’s going to be watching” the update. She reassured fans that Sue is getting all the help she needs, but admitted: “I don’t think you’re gonna be coming home anytime soon, mother.”
It comes after Kerry revealed she had temporarily moved into Sue’s flat so that she could be closer to the hospital just in case something happened to her. Recording the video from the house, Kerry showed fans a quick glance of the house, as well as flaunting Sue’s pet cat.
Finishing off the update, Kerry tried to end the clip on a more positive note: “But the main thing is I’ve lost loads of weight because of it, which is great – thanks for that mum. I’ll see you soon!”
Further updates were then posted to Kerry’s story, including one where Sue was seen in her hospital bed connected to a breathing tube. Sue herself described her ordeal as “a bit touch-and-go”, but was happy that she was in the “right place” for help.
Kerry has been a doting daughter for her mum after she was rushed to hospital earlier this week. She added that she had been left “exhausted” by the ordeal and thanked everyone for their messages of concern checking in with the star.
It comes as Kerry is meant to be gearing up for her newest project – her upcoming panto production with Katie Price. The pair have been cast as the “evil stepsisters”, and will be running throughout December up to the New Year.
