Netflix’s Avicii documentary will feature ‘never-before-seen’ footage of late DJ

A heart-warming documentary about Avicii is being released.

Over on Facebook, Netflix announced: “AVICII – I’M TIM explores the life and legacy of Tim Bergling, the renowned Swedish DJ and music producer also known as Avicii.”

“The documentary features never-before-seen footage and interviews, with Tim himself as the narrator. Coming 31 Dec.”

Down in the comment section, fans of the DJ gathered to discuss the upcoming show and many were clearly touched by the gesture. One person quoted some of his lyrics: “One day you’ll leave this world behind! Live a life you will remember.”

Avicii’s documentary will be released on 31 December

Another fan wrote: “The biography touched me very much. It was hard to bear how he must have felt for so long and when it finally looked like he could heal, he couldn’t do it anymore. Very very sad. He was so talented and a great person.”

Someone else wrote that it is “unbelievable” he is no longer alive,” a second fan said they still can’t listen to his music “without wet eyes” and a third person typed: “This will be a good and sad watch.”

Others were “excited” to watch Avicii’s legacy play out on their screens as many people tagged their friends to inform them of the news. “It’s a must watch documentary of AVICII, love his music such a talented guy xx love AVICII,” gushed another fan of the DJ.

Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ who rose to prominence with his first iconic single Levels.

He sadly committed suicide in 2018

Avicii retired from touring back in 2016 after a few years of dealing with stress and poor mental health. He sadly died from suicide back in 2018 while on holiday in Muscat, Oman.

His third album Tim was released posthumously a year later. His father opened up on Tim’s legacy and spoke to Geronimo about his son.

“That’s the difficulty also with him being so, you know, famous, you could say, and still so popular because he will always be there as long as I live and my wife lives, at least.”
