British supermodel Georgina Cooper has tragically passed away at the age of 46, just months after tying the knot. The model, who was a close friend to fashion icons like Kate Moss, Jodie Kidd and Helena Christensen, died on the Greek island of Kos.
Georgina first rose to fame when she was discovered by a modelling agency at the tender age of 13, and her big break came when she featured in a Bon Jovi music video at just 15 years old. According to her agent, she was with her new husband Nigel at the time of her death.
Dean Goodman, speaking about her untimely death, said: “She loved Greece and told me that she was going back with her new husband – but she has tragically died there a fortnight ago. Georgina had been unwell during Covid and had developed some health problems and had been in and out of hospital.”

He continued: ” But she had plans for the future. She had just married and was looking forward to her life. Everybody is devastated. She was a genuine superstar.”
She became a defining face of the ’90s, known as London’s “original gap toothed girl” and served as a muse for famed photographer Corrine Day. Gracing the covers of top fashion magazines like Vogue, she was affectionately called George by her inner circle, reports the Mirror.
After leaving the modelling world to dedicate herself to raising her son Sonny, she recently ventured into hospitality in Kent, a stark contrast to her dazzling days in fashion. Her friend and fellow supermodel Jade Parfitt shared with MailOnline: “Her friends and family are absolutely devastated, Georgina was a ray of light, a very popular model who was riotous fun, always laughing and being naughty in all the best ways. We all wanted to hang out with George backstage. Her achievements in the industry were huge.”
Georgina traded the runway for wedding bells when she tied the knot with Nigel in Maidstone, Kent, celebrated by loved ones.
The June nuptials concluded at a local pub, followed by a honeymoon in Kos, where they posted on the island’s community Facebook page. Tragically, during a return visit to Kos in October, Georgina passed away after battling health issues that arose during the pandemic.
He shared his heartbreak on Instagram, stating: “I’m in total shock, and talked to her not long ago to meet up after she just got married. She was the original gap toothed girl! I will miss her immensely, rip in peace, georgie girl, I will never forget you and always love you, see you on the other side.”
