EastEnders spoilers confirm Ruby Allen’s ‘furious’ return in epic Martin Fowler twist

Next week, EastEnders will see the return of a very familiar face as Ruby Allen (played by Louisa Lytton) steps back into Albert Square for the first time in three years. But what exactly brings the former club owner back to Walford?

Ruby was last seen on screen in 2021 when she was sent to prison after being wrongly accused by the Slater family of running a cannabis farm in a revenge plot. Shortly before her exit, Ruby claimed to be pregnant with Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) child, but he refused to believe her after discovering all of the lies.

But Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) told Sharon (Letitia Dean) that Ruby was her old cellmate and she did have a baby. Sharon has since kept the news to herself – until next week.

On Monday (November 18), Sharon prepares to tell Martin the truth about Ruby having his baby but doesn’t seem to find the right time to drop the bombshell news.

Following, the proposed closure of Bridge Street market, Martin’s mind is focused elsewhere as he quizzes Mr Lister about the future of the stall holders.

But later in The Vic, Sharon finally comes clean and reveals Ruby left the prison to give birth and he has a son.

Stunned by the news, Martin heads to confide in ex-wife Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) who doubts how true the news is. But when Sharon produces a birth certificate, Martin is left shocked and tries to get Ruby’s address.

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door and Ruby storms in and accuses Martin of stealing from her.

Martin demands to know the truth and Ruby finally confirms they have a son together. However, after a showdown with Stacey, Ruby drops another bombshell.

By the end of the week, Martin is locked in a battle with Ruby as Stacey vows to support him. But what exactly is Ruby up to?

Lauren’s bombshell news

Across the Square, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) continues to struggle with pain and soon lashes out at boyfriend Peter Beale (Thomas Law) over childcare issues before snapping at their son Louie.

Realising she’s not coping, Lauren books an appointment to see the doctor who tells her to reduce her pain medication. Later, Lauren talks to Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) about her symptoms following the club crush who wonders if she might be pregnant.

After doing a pregnancy test in The Vic toilets, it’s confirmed – Lauren is pregnant. But how will she react to the news?

Elaine’s wedding surprise

Elsewhere, bride-to-be Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) gathers her hens for a big night at The Vic while groom George Knight (Colin Salmon) prepares to meet the stags at The Boxing Den.

But when Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) organises a surprise Drag Queen for Elaine – she is left floored. Shaken by what she has seen, Elaine refuses to speak to Linda (Kellie Bright) and Johnny as they gather at the laundrette.

Once back home, Elaine opens up to Linda and tells her the truth. But why is Elaine so upset?
