A self-styled spiritual guru has opened up about her eerie chit-chats with the afterlife, including a jaw-dropping meeting with none other than the late Hollywood heartthrob Paul Walker.
Ari Lyons, 41, boasts of her ghost-whispering skills which she claims kicked in as a child, thanks to a spooky family heirloom of mediumship passed down after her nan’s death when she was just a tween. “I remember speaking to earthbound spirits when I was really young, but angels and demonic entities later on,” she revealed. “It was hard keeping this all to myself. I didn’t actually tell my mom until my late twenties. She didn’t believe me.”
Hailing from Florida, US, Ari recounts how her mum was tough on her, ringing her daily for a psychic test, trying to catch her out, but eventually she got on board with Ari’s paranormal prowess.
Then, in a twist fit for Tinseltown, Ari dropped the bombshell: “I had a connection with Paul Walker about a year after he died, which was weird,” she shared. “I heard his voice in my room and I instantly knew who he was. He was pretty much following me for an entire week. I don’t remember exactly what he said, but I just remember he kept on talking. I saw him wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
“He was talking about his movie coming out, the one released after he died. He also told me what he likes, like the ocean and being outside. I had to Google this stuff, but everything he said and told me was online,” reports the Mirror.
Paul, an American actor best known for his role as Brian O’Conner in the Fast and Furious franchise, died in a single-vehicle collision on November 30, 2013, as a passenger in a speeding car.
Despite being aware of potential scepticism about her ‘gift’, Ari maintains that she’s not in it for cash and has no intention of misusing her connection with the departed for personal fame. “I just want to help people. I don’t want to be an entertainer,” she insisted.
A dedicated ghost hunter since she was nine years old, Ari claims her trusty Ouija board is reliable “mostly every time” when engaging with the spirit world. For her, “respect” is paramount when employing any tools in her medium practice – be it the Ouija board, tarot cards, or even crystals.
“Everybody’s obsessed with the Ouija board because of the experiences that go on while using it,” she further stated. “People love to be scared. They dig watching these kinds of spooky things unfold. There’s a myriad of gadgets one can utilise to connect with the other side.”
And to those who remain sceptical, Ari offers some straightforward advice: give it a go. “You might regret it, or you might just love it. It’s a different world, and some people only believe it when they see it,” she concluded.
