Molly-Mae Hague has said her split from Tommy Fury was compared to that of Charles and Diana.
The Love Island beauty, 25, announced she and Tommy Fury, also 25, had broken up back in August. The pair, who met on the ITV dating show back in 2019, had welcomed baby Bambi and were due to tie the knot.
Ahead of the split, neither Tommy nor Molly-Mae had given any indication of trouble in paradise, so fans were shocked to hear they’d split. However, in a statement released by the fashionista, Molly-Mae said she was “extremely upset” to confirm they had parted ways.

Now, three months on from the split, Molly-Mae has admitted she believed the reaction from the public and the press was similar to that of then-Prince Charles and Diana. In an interview with British Vogue, the Pretty Little Thing ambassador said: “It was a bit of a shock, I didn’t want what happened to happen.
“I wanted to get married next September and it’s very hard when it’s kind of taken away,” she added. “But I will always have a lot of love and respect for him.”
Following on from the split, rumours surfaced that professional boxer Tommy had been unfaithful to Molly-Mae earlier this year. It was revealed that Tommy had allegedly slept with a Danish woman whilst he was on a lads holiday in North Macedonia, though Tommy strongly denies any allegations that he cheated on her.
Discussing the speculation surrounding their breakup, Molly-Mae insisted that “no one will ever really know what went down apart from Tommy and I, and that’s how we’d like to keep it, for Bambi’s sake”. The pair welcomed their one-year-old daughter Bambi last year, and had been due to get married a month before the couple ended things.
Molly-Mae added that in time, Tommy “will talk about things eventually”, but said that the time will come when he is ready, and he will do so “on his terms”. It comes as she admitted that her wedding plans were being influenced by what her social media followers would expect from her.
“Was I planning a big wedding because I wanted that image of a big wedding and the beautiful photographs and that moment that everyone would have expected from us on social media?” she said, “Probably.
“Would I be more confident now, after everything that’s happened and learning even more about myself, to say, actually, that doesn’t even make me happy, screw the big Instagram moment, I’m going to do it this way? Definitely.”
Tommy has maintained his love for Molly-Mae, describing her as a “fantastic” mum to their child. He added in an interview with MailOnline: “I will love her until my final breath.”
Boxer Tommy also went out of his way to delay the release of his autobiography to include some information about the split from Molly-Mae. He added that with the release of the book, he was ready for the next chapter of his life, where he can still be there for Bambi.
