I’m A Celeb stars stunned by Ant and Dec’s ‘unexpected’ announcement during final

Sunday night’s finale of I’m A Celebrity was a rollercoaster of emotions as the last episode unfolded.

As they recapped Saturday’s action, viewers watched the campmates get hit with a bombshell by presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly. One celeb admitted they “didn’t expect it” while another was visibly shaken by a sudden revelation.

Ant and Dec rocked up to camp to reveal who’d been voted off on Saturday, with the footage being shown at the start of Sunday’s climactic final. The duo broke the news that Strictly’s beloved Oti Mabuse hadn’t made the cut for the final three.

Despite being a hot favourite for the crown, Oti took her leave from the jungle after bidding farewell, leaving Ant and Dec to announce the trio who had survived: Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, and Reverend Richard Coles were this year’s finalists.

Stunned by both the news of their own success and Oti’s departure, the finalists reacted instantly to the surprise announcement from Ant and Dec. Rev Richard confessed his disbelief, while Coleen shed a few tears in the Bush Telegraph, reports the Mirror.

As they waved goodbye to Oti crossing the iconic bridge for her post-exit interview with Ant and Dec, the remaining three struggled to come to terms with the turn of events. McFly’s Danny expressed his astonishment: “It feels amazing, I didn’t expect this at all.”

Meanwhile, Richard exclaimed: “I can’t believe I’m one of the final three! I never thought I would make it this far.”

Soon after, Coleen stepped out for a teary moment, confessing how “proud” she felt reaching the end just before the winner is revealed on Sunday’s episode.

Discussing her emotions, she shared: “Knowing that I have made it to the final makes me proud. I’m a proud mum, I’m a proud wife, I’m a proud daughter, it’s very rare that I’m proud of myself, so… I’m getting emotional. So it means a lot. It’s very rare that I put myself first, so yeah these are happy tears! “

Before heading off, Oti mused over her camp experience. She said: “There’s a little bit of a buzz in camp this morning. We are the final four and soon we are going to become the final three and we don’t know who’s going to leave but either way the four of us feel like we’ve had the entire journey and whatever happens, happens but I know I would’ve had the time of my life! “
