Coleen Rooney causes Butlin’s bookings to double after four-word rave review

Butlin’s bookings have almost doubled after Coleen Rooney raved about the resort on I’m A Celebrity.

The WAG, 38, told jungle camp mates that her son Kai had “the best holiday ever” at the firm’s site in Skegness, Lincs.

Chuffed bosses of the famous seaside holiday camps said they had “witnessed a sales surge of 83% since the episode aired”.

And the number of people visiting the Butlin’s website had soared by a fifth over the same period, said the company.

It is seeking to cash in on the kudos generated by Coleen, who is mum to Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six, with footie icon hubby Wayne, 39.

Butlin’s has launched the special discount code “ROO10”, paying homage to the Plymouth Argyle manager’s shirt number from his playing days with England and Manchester United.

A spokesman said: “We are delighted to hear about how much Coleen and the boys loved their trip to Butlin’s.

“We pride ourselves on being the ultimate destination for family fun and it’s fantastic to receive such brilliant feedback.

“As such, we’ve launched a special Rooney inspired discount, but don’t take our word for it, take Kai’s.

“It really will be the best holiday ever, so make the most of a special 10% off with any family bookings for 2025.”

In its heyday, the chain, founded by Billy Butlin in 1936, boasted 10 camps, including resorts in Ireland and the Bahamas.

But despite opening a hotel in Spain and a park in France, the rise of budget package trips abroad saw interest in British beach holidays decline.

Today, the firm has three UK resorts, including Skegness, Minehead, and Bognor Regis.

As a child growing up in Liverpool, Coleen enjoyed family camping trips and caravan holidays in Kirby, Merseyside.

But after her childhood sweetheart Wayne hit the big time as a footballer, she has enjoyed a string of luxury getaways in exotic climes, including Dubai, Barbados and St. Tropez, with Coleen famously bringing trolley loads of luggage along with her.
