Kim Kardashian has exposed her real hair.
The reality star has revealed her natural hair and it appears that extensions, bleach, and heat have caused permanent damage to her locks. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians icon surprised reality TV fans on Thursday when she displayed her real hair to the cameras.
Kim was having breakfast with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe and their mum, Kris Jenner. The family were celebrating Kourtney’s birthday at IHOP when Kim chose to remove her cap and wig to show her own hair – which was bleached blonde and frazzled.
The Kardashian sister had her hair slicked back into a low bun, and viewers couldn’t help but notice the reality TV star’s split ends. The latest episode of the popular reality TV show was filmed just a few weeks before Kim dyed her hair platinum blonde for the Met Gala back in May.
At the time, Kim expressed concern that her natural hair could fall out due to the harshness of the dye and the potential damage it could cause – but Kim was resolved to look her best at the prestigious awards.
Kim discussed her Met Gala outfit before worrying about eating breakfast for Kourtney’s birthday, due to concerns about fitting into her dress. She then revealed the hair under her hat was actually a wig, as she was trying to protect her natural hair ahead of the Met Gala and keep her new ‘do a secret, reports the Mirror.
“This is a wig,” Kim admitted. “My hair is blonde.” The reality TV star then took off her hat and wig to show her bright blonde hair, explaining: “I am in the process of dying my hair for the Met. There will be times where you see me with brown hair and now I have blonde hair, so I will keep you guys guessing this season.”
After witnessing Kim’s hair reveal, fans rushed to X to share their reactions. One person said: “Kim Kardashian’s natural hair is proof that we as women need to look after what we have been given and to not ruin our natural beauty with fake alternatives. Her hair is literally burnt off.”
“Omg Kim’s real hair looks like mine after a terrible hair-dye job. What the heck,” another joked. Someone else said: “Nah, Kim Kardashian showing off her hideous natural hair on global TV was not on my 2025 bingo card. She’s just like the rest of us.”
