Real Houswives star Teddi Mellencamp has reunited with husband Edwin Arroyave after filing for divorce last year, as she underwent terrifying brain surgery for ‘multiple’ tumours
Former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp has revealed her divorce from her husband is “on hold” following her cancer diagnosis, as she has been found to have “multiple” brain tumours.
Reality star Teddi, 43, had filed for divorce from her husband Edwin Arroyave, 47, back in December. The bombshell split news came after a long-running affair with her horse trainer Simon Schröeder was revealed, and her family has now rallied around her.
The divorce is now said to be “off the table” after news of her terrifying cancer diagnosis was revealed, with Teddi needing emergency brain surgery for the tumours. She was originally diagnosed with skin cancer, and had shown off a huge scar, and will now be moving back into the family home.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Right now, Edwin’s focus is on her recovery and the divorce is off the table. It is no longer being discussed.
“His concern is that she gets better. The surgery was successful, and she is expected to return to the home she shared with Edwin and their three children,” they added.
“They are going to help Teddi recover,” the source finished. Teddi and Edwin have been married for 13 years, and share three children together: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, four.
Edwin was pictured alongside his wife in a hospital bed before her surgery last week. Teddi was seen with her arm around Edwin’s neck as he leaned in for the camera.
He shared it with a bible passage in a caption, adding: “Lord, I lift up Teddi to You. You are the Great Healer, and I ask for Your healing touch upon her body.
“Restore her strength, renew her spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Grant her peace, hope, and full recovery, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
He also shared a video of their youngest daughter asking if he was going to sleep at the hospital. Edwin panned the camera around to show he was on a couch next to Teddi’s bed.
Edwin updated fans following her surgery, as he wrote: “Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover.” He shared a picture with the children as they went to visit Terri in hospital.
The star was diagnosed following weeks of pain, and she shared the news in a video, saying: “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumours on my brain, which they believed have been growing for at least six months.
“Two of the tumours will be surgically removed today – the remaining smaller tumours will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” and was then shown shaving her head before the operation.
“My best look!” Teddi joked. The brain tumours come two years after she was diagnosed with skin cancer.
