TOWIE star Diags, whose real name is James Bennewith, is back on our screens.
Diags is one of the longest running cast-members on The Only Way is Essex since joining in 2012 Joey Essex’ best friend. Over the past decade, the reality TV personality, real name James Bennewith, has been embroiled in numerous dramatic plotlines.
His tight-knit friendships with Joey, Tom Pearce, Dan Edgar and James ‘Arg’ Argent have all been showcased on the show, along with his tumultuous romantic escapades.
The ITV hit show is set to make a comeback on our televisions with a fresh series, and it starts off with a bang for Diags, as startling news sends tremors through Essex.
Diags and his girlfriend Jodie have called it quits. Throughout the split, Dan has been Diags’ pillar of support, and viewers will witness his best mate offering him some counsel during a heart-to-heart with Jodie.

The ex-couple, who were on the brink of cohabiting, sparked break up whispers last week when they ceased following each other on social media.
Diags’ love life
TOWIE fans will recall that Diags was in a relationship with former cast member Fran Parman for three years, with the majority of their romance unfolding on-screen. After their 2017 break-up, they had an awkward reunion in front of the cameras a few years later.
In a more recent series, he ignited dating speculation with Love Island star Elma. He confessed to having a soft spot for Elma shortly after she joined the TOWIE cast.
Back in the day, things seemed to heat up between these two reality stars; they even locked lips at Dan and Amber’s buzzing housewarming bash. But alas, they couldn’t quite make the leap to being an ‘official’ couple.
The latest drama on TOWIE saw their casual fling turn sour after a massive bust-up during the final moments of series 32.
What is Diags’ job outside of TOWIE?
Away from the cameras, our boy Diags is all about that business life, running the plumbing empire Plumb Point with his bro Jack in Essex. A proper plumbers’ merchant and swishy bathroom showroom affair it is!
Diags’ transformation
Early 2023 saw Diags revealed a transformation on Insta. The lad went all out for a glitzy dinner in London Town with his mates Dan and James Lock, where Lockie snapped a pic for the ‘gram and quipped: “A man’s friendships are one of the best measures of his worth.”
Diags wowed the fans, leaving them gobsmacked in the comments, as one wrote: “Is that Diags? ? He looks bloody well! ! ! Fair play x.” (sic)
And another chimed in: “Diags is looking bloody great! Also, time for you to get a haircut, Tarzan @jameslock__.” And one more wrote: “Diags is actually looking hotter than Dan!” (sic)
