Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl announced last year that he had fathered a baby with a woman outside of his marriage and that he was trying to “regain” the trust of his wife
The mother of Dave Grohl’s love child has reportedly come forward five months after he admitted to cheating on his wife.
Last year, the Foo Fighters frontman, 56, announced he had fathered a baby girl outside of his marriage. He insisted he was doing ‘everything he could’ to regain the trust of his wife of over 20 years, Jordyn Blum, and their three children.
Now, tattooed rocker Jennifer Young, 38, has claimed she’s the mother of his seven-month-old lovechild. she has a seven-month-old baby girl with the rockstar. The Florida native, who lives in Los Angeles with her mum, told Page Six their daughter was born on August 1 of last year and has Grohl’s surname.
She said is not revealing her daughter’s first name because “there’s some really angry fans” out there and “protecting her identity is really important”. The mum has several music-themed tattoos including Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo and was reportedly spotted in New York City on Valentine’s Day.
Grohl confirmed in September 2024 he had become “the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage”. The former Nirvana drummer has three daughters with his wife of 21 years, TV producer Jordyn, 48; Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and Ophelia Saint, 10.
He said of the new baby: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
The fallout from the shocking revelation has no doubt been hard on former model Jordyn, who married the rocker in 2003 at their LA home. She has been spotted since the news broke without her wedding ring.
Grohl was previously married to photographer Jennifer Leigh Youngblood from 1994 to 1997. Discussing his divorce in 1999, Dave said: “I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married.
“I miss her a tonne, she’s the funniest goddamn weirdo you ever met in your life. Absolutely adorable. It would have been better had we not got married. But you live and you learn.”
He and Jordyn were spotted on their way to the Super Bowl together earlier this month, after a source claimed she did not want the family to split. A source told People: “It was just such a shock for Jordyn. Her first instinct was that she wanted a divorce. The betrayal felt too heavy. But as weeks passed, she got some space to think and it just felt very sad to her if the family would split up.”
