The Chase fans were left seething during the latest instalment of the ITV show after being left rather disappointed by the four contestants taking on The Sinahman
ITV’s popular gameshow, The Chase, left fans seething as they labelled the show “absolutely shocking” after another disappointing performance. Host Bradley Walsh was back with a fresh batch of contestants hoping to bag a big win on Tuesday afternoon (February 25).
Despite all four players starting off in high spirits, the game quickly took a turn for the worse. In the episode, contestant Ash kicked things off promisingly, securing £6,000 when he went head-to-head with TV brainiac Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha.
However, when player two, Kelsey, and player three, Catherine, were caught by the Chaser, it was up to contestant number four, Max, to step up to the plate. Opting for the lower offer of £1,000, Max’s decision left many viewers rather irked.

But it was Ash and Max’s “slow” performance in the final chase that really got some telly fans hot under the collar. When faced with Bradley’s rapid-fire questions, Ash and Max hesitated significantly before answering.
Ultimately, the duo only managed to answer nine questions correctly between them. After witnessing Ash and Max’s lacklustre performance in the final, fans flocked to X to vent their frustrations, reports the Mirror.
One viewer exclaimed: “Absolutely shocking. They spent more time staring into space.” Another quipped: “Asks question, five-second pause, buzz in, pass.” A third sarcastically commented: “In your own time lads.
“Emergency Services on alert after a massive car crash Final Chase,” said another viewer. Elsewhere, one fan was left disheartened: “Oh goodness, fingers crossed for tomorrow.”
However, the decision by contestants to play it safe and give low offers has been met with frustration from some viewers, who are fed up of seeing this tactic being employed time and time again.
Taking to social media, one fan declared: “What! ! ! Not Again! ! This has gone completely out of control! £1,000 LOW OFFER TAKEN! After last Friday when everyone took the LOW and the episode before Two MINUS offers! What a disgrace and embarrassment for ITV! How long is this going to go on for? I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!”
On the other hand, some viewers were in agreement that Kelsey would have been better off taking the lower offer of £100 rather than sticking with £1,000.
The Chase is on ITV1 weekdays at 5pm and on ITVX
