Footage from a BRITs after-party seems to show friends and former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campers Maura Higgins and Danny Jones sharing a brief kiss
Maura Higgins and Danny Jones reportedly “seemed really cosy” at a BRITs after-party in the run-up to their alleged kiss.
Footage on The Sun appears to show former Love Islander Maura and married McFly star Danny locking lips in a quick kiss at the bash on Saturday night, with a source saying: “Danny and Maura seemed to be having a great time. They looked like they had a brief drunken kiss.”
According to the Mirror, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars looked close during the event at 180 Studios on The Strand. It reports that Maura, who used to date Pete Wicks, sat in a booth with Danny, who has been married to wife Georgia Horsley for 11 years. They were also with their fellow former camper Oti Mabuse and another female friend.
“Maura and Danny were sitting in the booth together for most of the night, they were laughing and chatting and seemed really cosy for hours,” the report said.
“Some other people gathered around the table to chat but they didn’t really move from that spot and weren’t dancing much, they were clearly comfortable. Danny occasionally walked the room with Tom Fletcher, but he kept coming back to Maura.”
Maura and Danny were both on I’m A Celebrity last year, with Danny going on to be crowned King of the Jungle. They struck up a friendship during their stint in the Aussie jungle and have seemingly stayed close since heading back to real life.
There is no suggestion that the apparent “kiss” the ITV co-stars shared at the star-studded after-party was anything more than something between friends, and a body language expert told the Daily Star that there was “nothing sensual between them”.
Danny, 38, has been married to former Miss England Georgia since 2014 and they welcomed their son Cooper in 2018. Maura, 34, was previously romantically linked to reality star and former Strictly contestant Pete, but earlier this year it was reported that they had gone their separate ways.
