McFly star Danny Jones was seen kissing his former I’m A Celebrity campmate Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards, but hours earlier he made a stark confession on the red carpet
Danny Jones dropped a revealing bombshell just hours before he was caught on camera smooching Maura Higgins following the BRIT Awards. The McFly star, looking for a bit of tranquillity, expressed his wish for “less stress” not long before he was seen planting a kiss on his old I’m A Celeb co-star.
Danny and ex-Love Island beauty Maura were spotted kissing after the glitzy Saturday night ceremony. However, while chatting on the red carpet, Danny dished the dirt about his desires for the forthcoming year.
Participating in a light-hearted Tarot card reading with celeb hosts Sian Welby and Zeze Millz, Danny pulled out the sun card. Asked about his biggest hope for the upcoming 12 months, he mused: “Oh my word. Well…” Then pressed for details on his ambitions, he conceded: “This might sound cheesy. Lower the stress in my life.”
Bandmate Tom Fletcher was also in on the fun, drawing the moon card and teasing that he’s heard whispers about Danny’s “got some plans” before the duo faced questions about any mystery post-BRITs shenanigans.
Tom quipped: “I’m just following him,” reports the Mirror.
Leakage of steamy footage showing Danny, 38, and Maura, 34, at Universal’s afterparty just before 3am showed the pair cozying up before they tipped towards what seems to be a boozy peck. Coincidentally, it was published by The Sun.
The internet has blown up in fury, with social media users throwing their support behind Danny’s wife, Georgia. The couple got hitched back in 2014 and have a six-year-old son named Cooper.
Meanwhile, Maura called it quits with ex-TOWIE heartthrob Pete recently. Despite rumours swirling about Maura and Pete’s romance, last month brought news that they’d split, with Maura later hitting out saying he was “probably cheating”.
The pair even managed to steer clear of each other at the BRIT Awards bash, dodging any awkward run-ins on the red carpet, during the event, and at the after-party.
