Lorraine Kelly didn’t mince her words when she gave her verdict on Meghan Markle’s TV series.

The Duchess of Sussex’s eight-part Netflix series With Love, Meghan, which takes the audience inside Meghan’s home life with celeb chats and lifestyle tips, has copped a fair amount of flak from telly critics and some viewers saying they were turned off by how “fake” it was. Some have even taken issue with Meghan over what they branded a “rude” comment.

Billed to be the ultimate lifestyle show, the release was pushed back from January 15 due to the LA wildfires, finally dropping on Tuesday (March 4). While some fans are munching their popcorn as they lap up every moment of relaxed Meghan, others are slamming the duchess, claiming she’s dolling up as a “housewife” in a bid to become the next “Martha Stewart”.

But Lorraine Kelly laid it out straight on her ITV morning show, responding to Ross King’s query about the series with a shrug: “Meh.”

Then adding: “I was not offended in any way but it was a wee bit dull. It’s just not my thing. I wouldn’t watch shows like that normally anyway. I saw the first episode, that was enough – fair play to her, she’s launching her business.”

Audiences shared their reactions to the series on X, with one viewer ranting: “I’m not even 30 seconds into the first episode and I already know that With Love, Meghan is the FAKEST stuff ever,” reports the Mirror.

Another chimed in: “Six minutes of With Love, Meghan… ok only for richest people… so… bye bye.”

Meanwhile, a different user sniped: “All of Meghan Markle’s “recipes” can be found on Pinterest.”

On the other hand, some fans expressed their enjoyment of the show, with one cooing: “I’m watching With Love, Meghan and it’s delightful. I will never understand the people whose entire personalities are hating her. It’s sickening.”

Another concurred: “People just love to hate Meghan for no reason and are constantly putting her up against Kate. They are two different people. Let the woman live.”

Thomas Markle Jr, Meghan’s half-brother, who hasn’t seen the Duchess in almost 15 years, didn’t mince words in an interview with Kevin O’Sullivan on Talk, admitting the series made him feel “sorry and embarrassed for her” for the first time. He also revealed he hasn’t let their father, Thomas Markle Sr, watch the show yet due to health concerns.

Thomas Jr took a sharp dig at Meghan Markle saying: “I didn’t have enough heart medication for him to watch it. I didn’t want him to kick the bucket, so I’d have to go refill the prescription before I let him watch it.”

He also debunked Meghan’s home-cooked meal tales by stating she “didn’t cook anything for anybody ever growing up”, despite her claims. Furthermore, he blasted Meghan’s previous stand that she had a poor upbringing, asserting: “That’s just another one of the malarkey stories she sold to the Royal Family for sympathy. We weren’t poor. She didn’t have to rub two nickels together at Sizzler’s salad bar.”
