It’s World Book Day once again – and celebrities are shipping their kids off to school dressed as their favourite characters.
The annual event, usually the first Thursday in March, every child in full-time education in the UK and Ireland is given a voucher that can be spent on books. The day it is celebrated in the UK is actually not the same as elsewhere in the world.
Over here, it’s earlier than the widely observed April 23. That’s because the later date often clashes with Easter holidays or St George’s Day.
