McFly singer Danny Jones has made his first TV appearance since he was caught on camera sharing a ‘drunken kiss’ with Love Island star Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty
McFly’s Danny Jones makes headline again as he steps up on TV post ‘drunken kiss’ with Maura Higgins.
The 38-year-old heartthrob, who is hitched to Georgia Horsley, was nabbed ‘kissing’ Maura at Universal’s BRIT afterparty. But, Danny found himself back in the spotlight on a pre-recorded outing of The One Show, where he got cosy with bandmate Tom Fletcher for a reading gig at BBC’s 500 Words.
The duo strutted on stage to big-up one of the winners: “The silver winner in the age five to seven category is…Fun Cats by Michael Morley.” The Buckingham Palace celebration, recorded on Feb 26, wielded hosts Roman Kemp and Alex Jones, and dazzled with stars like Olivia Colman and EastEnders’ Rose Ayling-Ellis alongside McFly’s melodic pair.
Post-gala, Danny said: “Today has been fun. Having a little boy myself, the power of stories, the power of imagination. It’s inspiring me, not just the kids, so it’s been an amazing day,” reports the Mirror.
They also met Queen Camilla on the day, who was all smiles, sharing a laugh with the celeb-packed group that included JB Gill, Rob Brydon, and Gladiator legends Fire and Nitro. Meanwhile, Sir Lenny Henry, Frank Cottrell-Boyce, and Malorie Blackman served as judges at the bash.
In a twist to the tale, The Mirror revealed on Danny’s wife Georgia’s turmoil. She’s reportedly feeling “humiliated” and is putting her son first amid the scandal.
The former Miss England has even ditched her upcoming gigs at the Baby Show with her podcast partner Kelsey Parker, as an insider dished to The Mirror that she’s desperate to protect their seven year old lad Cooper from the drama. “Georgia is struggling at the moment. She isn’t just having to navigate the circumstances, but doing it publicly,” the mole revealed.
“She has been humiliated. People are quick to forget there is a child in the middle of this mess.” The couple is said to be hashing things out after Danny’s boozy blunder, eager to leave the mess behind them. “This saga has been embarrassing and Danny had a lot of explaining to do,” the insider added as they spilled on the situation.
