Saturday Kitchen’s Matt Tebbutt was absolutely thrilled as he introduced the legendary Floella Benjamin onto his show. BBC viewers were left gobsmacked by Floella’s age-defying looks on the latest instalment.
It wasn’t long before people took to Twitter in amazement that she’s barely changed since her days on the children’s show Play School which she joined back in 1976.
One viewer said: “Floella Benjamin looking absolutely fantastic on #SaturdayKitchen – she never ages. And the heaven dish looks gorgeous – gets my vote.” Another person tweeted: “Floella is 75, looking amazing, lovely woman.”

Someone else stated: “Floella Benjamin looks just the same as she was when she was on Playschool.” During her powerful segment honouring International Women’s Day, Floella turned to the camera with a commanding presence before delivering a message, reports Express.
She declared: “On International Women’s Day, I say to all the men out there, really, really, appreciate your women.
“Worship your women, because we bring life into the world, we nurture the world. I want all the little boys growing up to learn to respect women. Respect women even if they’re successful.
“A lot of men don’t respect women, and they feel threatened by women when they grow up. I say, women are growing, women are moving to the top what we’re going to do is to bring men along with us.”
Her stirring statement led to rapturous applause and cheers from the studio audience as Matt went on with his cooking beside her.
Floella didn’t miss the chance to throw in her own epic love story, spilling that she and her partner Keith have been together for an astonishing 54 years.
When Matt asked for their secret to a lasting connection, she confessed: “He just says, ‘Yes dear, when you’re ready dear, in your own time dear.'”
Adding the icing on the cake, she shared their sweet routine, revealing: “Every morning, he brings me a cup of tea, and he kisses me and says, ‘You get more beautiful every day.'”
