Disturbing Charles Manson documentary leaves Netflix fans begging for one thing

Chaos: The Manson Murders was recently released on Netflix and true crime fans are urging fellow streamers to do one simple thing after watching the in-depth investigation

Netflix fans are losing their minds over the new Charles Manson documentary.

The project, which runs at 1 hour 36 minutes, was released on Netflix with the description: “In August 1969, Charles Manson’s followers killed seven people on his orders. Why? Explore a conspiracy of mind control, CIA experiments and murder.”

Directed by Academy Award winner Errol Morris, known for The Fog of War, the documentary aims to “reexamine the murders” that shook the world back in the 70s. In the trailer, the case was described as “one of the scariest true crime stories out there”.

Sadly, pregnant actress Sharon Tate was “stabbed to death” by Manson’s followers after he “gained control over them”. They were instructed to kill and did so “without remorse”.

The followers were reportedly high on LSD and Charles Manson would preach that murder was an acceptable thing to do. In the trailer, Tom O’Neill – a journalist who has dedicated much of his life to the case – claimed: “There were these research scientists who were working secretly for the government.”

“Planted false memories of people without their awareness […] Manson was really into mind control. Manson became exactly what the CIA was trying to create.”

The trailer was uploaded to YouTube and fans in the comments all rushed to say the same thing about the much anticipated documentary. Someone wrote: “I just finished watching this but I read the book first. Read the book. This honestly could have been several episodes. There is so much more.”

Another said: “To the people that haven’t read Chaos – you are going to have your minds blown clean off with this story. Tom dedicated 20+ years researching and writing his book. I hope this has multiple episodes because there is no chance the story can be told in a documentary film around 2 hours.”

Someone else chimed in: “Tom’s book is so truly amazing I have waited forever for it to be brought to film,” while another said: “Hell yes, finally a series for Tom and his work that he dedicated years and years to.”
