Maura Higgins appeared to remain silent after supposedly being caught sharing a drunken kiss with married Danny Jones – but has now shared a behind the scenes social media post
Maura Higgins has shared a video of herself working abroad just moments before Danny Jones shared a statement of apology following the supposed kiss they shared two weeks ago.
Former Love Island star Maura dressed in a Western style outfit as she posed for a photoshoot in a desert location for fashion brand Oh Polly. While in Los Angeles, she donned white mini dress and cowboy boots while posing for the camera.
It was completely strapless and featured lace and ruffle detailing.
Maura completed the look with a face full off natural make up and lightly waved hair. During the shoot, she was photographed in the back of an old pickup truck as she posed.
During videos, she could be seen swigging a bottle of beer and lounging on the vehicle. This was the first video shared to her Instagram feed since the video following the BRIT Awards saw her share a supposedly drunken kiss with McFly band member, Danny Jones.
Danny, who has been married to Georgia Horsley since 2014, appeared to kiss Maura at Universal’s BRITs afterparty earlier this month.
Footage from The Sun seemed to show the pair kissing briefly at the bash, held at 180 Studios on the Strand in London.
Then a second clip emerged, apparently showing Danny and his former I’m A Celeb campmate Maura partying at London’s posh Nobu Hotel until the early hours.
Neither Danny or Maura had addressed the rumoured kiss – or former Miss England Georgia, the mother of Danny’s seven-year-old son Cooper.
But Danny finally spoke about the incident on Friday (March 14) when he took to his Instagram story with a statement. He said he ‘deeply apologises to his wife and family’ for putting them in the spotlight over the last week and told followers that they’ll continue to deal with the matter “privately”.
The statement read: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.
“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
While things have been quiet between the pair, Danny and Georgia were spotted out on a walk in Richmond, south London, earlier this week. They both enjoyed a coffee while appearing to chat.
Previously, sources claimed Maura and Danny partied the night away following the BRITs at the Nobu Hotel, where they allegedly knocked back wine until 4am before leaving together at 6am.
Onlookers claimed Danny and Maura were cosying up to one another for hours before the alleged kiss – the pair were also spotted at Sony Music’s afterparty.
