Justin Bieber has shared an emotional post in which he reflected on the conflicting feelings he has expressing negative emotions because of his childhood experiences
Justin Bieber has opened up about feeling overwhelmed by “hate” and struggling to express his emotions due to his childhood experiences. The 31-year-old singer shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram story, parking worry among his fans once again.
He revealed that he was taught not to hate as a child, but this led him to bottle up his feelings and feel like he was “drowning”. He wrote: “I was always told when I was a kid not to hate. But it made me feel like I wasn’t allowed to have it and so I didn’t tell anyone I’ve had it.”
Bieber explained that he believes acknowledging hate is the first step to letting it go, and that it’s natural to feel hate after experiencing hurt. The Peaches singer paired his post with SZA’s song I Hate U.
This emotional admission comes on the heels of another candid post, where Bieber confessed to feeling like a “fraud” and struggling with imposter syndrome. He shared: “People told me my whole life, ‘Wow, Justin, you deserve that’. And I personally have always felt unworthy, like I was a fraud, like when people told me I deserve something.”
Bieber reassured his fans that they’re not alone in feeling like impostors, saying: “I say all this to say, if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days.”
Last month, Justin Bieber’s rep clapped back at rumours questioning the pop sensation’s wellbeing, making it crystal clear that whispers of the ‘Baby’ hitmaker dabbling in hard substances are “absolutely not true” Firing back against the health gossip, the spokesperson told TMZ: “[The last year has been] very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”
They blasted the speculation as “[It’s] exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
Taking a bold step towards maturity, Justin dropped a hint-laden message on his growth journey, confessing he’s rubbish at playing by the rules but is dead set on chasing a “life of love” while sticking to his Christian roots.
The global superstar shared on his Insta: “It’s time to grow up. Changing is about letting go! Not trying harder! Are you tired of trying to follow all of the rules in hopes to get the results you crave? I’ve found love to be more powerful than rules.”
He spilled more, saying: “I tried to follow the rules. I’m not good at it. But u don’t need to follow rules to enter into a life of love. U just receive so enter love living! God always grants us love! It’s one of his promises! Upon receiving God’s love! U start to change and start following love.(sic)”.
