EastEnders actress Jacqueline has been pictured out without wearing her wedding ring after she has reportedly ‘split’ with her former TOWIE star husband Dan Osborne
Actress Jacqueline Jossa and her estranged ex-hubby Dan Osborne were spotted looking downcast just days after announcing their separation to the world.
The duo, who exchanged vows eight years back, have had their marriage dogged by rumours swirling around TOWIE alum Dan’s supposed cheating scandals.
This past Saturday, they released a joint statement confirming their decision to part ways, emphasising their commitment to co-parenting their two kids.
“Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye,” the announcement read.
It continued: “They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together. Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents – something that will never change. Above all, Jacqueline and Dan have each other’s and their children’s best interests at heart. There will be no further comment.”
Dan, aged 33, is rumoured to have moved his belongings into a new pad not far from the family’s original nest post-split. Meanwhile, Jacqueline, who was recently caught on camera sans her wedding band, along with the kids, is staying put in the marital home.
Despite putting a halt to their union, it seems they’re not rushing into any divorce proceedings just yet, reports the Mirror.
Post-split, Jacqueline and Dan have been spotted out separately, carrying on with their daily routines. EastEnders’ Jacqueline was snapped in a stylish beige wool coat, an abstract print blouse, and jeans at a petrol station, noticeably without her wedding ring as she filled up her car.
She was later seen picking up a car air-freshener, her bare ring finger drawing attention as she walked back to her vehicle.
On the flip side, Dan was captured looking downcast, dressed in a grey hoodie and matching shorts, a hefty gym bag over his shoulder, standing by an open car door. He was also holding a paper supermarket bag.
A source spilled the beans to The Sun about the estranged couple: “Jacqueline and Dan have effectively ended the marriage but she wants to try to get back on track. Things have been very difficult between them but she still has love for Dan.”
They continued: “He’s still not living at the family home but he and Jacqueline are talking things through. There has been no conversation about divorce.”
Despite the separation, with Dan away from the family home and Jacqueline sans wedding ring, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alum still harbours feelings for her hubby and is keen on mending their relationship. “Jacqueline and Dan have effectively ended the marriage but she wants to try to get back on track,” the insider revealed.
The insider continued to reveal that the recent months have been “difficult” for the pair. “Jac and Dan have weathered their fair share of storms but this situation is a far cry from those,” the source further commented.
Dan and Jacqueline initiated their romance in 2013, with the reality star popping the question to the Lauren Branning actress merely two years later. At the time, he proclaimed himself as the “luckiest man in the world.”
Post their split, an insider claimed there was no indication of Dan being unfaithful to Jacqueline.
The ex-couple were amicably navigating their separation and were uncertain about what lay ahead for them. However, the split was deemed “necessary.”
Rumours about the status of Jacqueline and Dan’s marriage began circulating last year when their family home was listed for sale, with Dan purchasing a property under his name. Last year, the couple had to refute claims of their split, asserting that they found such allegations distressing.
A source stated then: “Jacqueline and Dan are both shocked, hurt and upset about the rumours of a split. Yes, it’s true they are selling their house, but that doesn’t mean they’re not together. They’re busy juggling day-to-day family and work life like most parents across the country. This week alone they’ve been inundated with questions about the state of their marriage. People are obviously talking about the property changes going on in their lives, but they’re still very much together.
“Dan bought a house last year without telling Jacqueline until the final stages,” an insider revealed to Mail Online. “He initiated the process as he thought their relationship was nearing its end and with Jacqueline owning their marital home, he needed to secure his future. This led to a heated argument between them and trust, which was already fragile, took a severe hit.”
Jacqueline had previously spoken about Dan’s infidelity in 2019, stating that they were attempting to rebuild their marriage after enduring “two years of hell.”
She said: “It made me think of stuff in there. I had no choice – no phone or contact. Nothing but time. To be honest I wanted to hit a restart button. It’s been two years of me basically giving him hell. It’s not like he got away lightly. He knows he’s done wrong. There’s some stuff that’s not true that I can’t talk about as it’s being dealt with legally. We’re fine.”
On the other hand, Osborne admitted that some of the allegations were accurate while others were “very untrue”.
He later confessed: “I want to publicly say, I know I have made mistakes, we all do as humans, but I’ve made some that have almost cost me my family. I have seriously learnt from these massively.”
