Noel Gallagher was pictured looking tired as he left a 10-hour recording session in London – just weeks before he and brother Liam reunite for the first-ever Oasis tour
Noel Gallagher’s been spotted getting his groove back in the rehearsal studio, but fans hoping for a family reunion will be gutted to hear brother Liam was nowhere in sight.
The 57-year-old Manchester legend is gearing up to belt out a few solo numbers and brush off the cobwebs from classic Oasis tunes ahead of re-teaming with the band this Summer.
Caught on camera this week in London, Noel had just wrapped up a mammoth 10-hour sesh that’s thought to involve fine-tuning new tracks and prepping up for their upcoming gigs.
Decked out in a hoodie and sunnies, the musician seemed knackered as he clocked off. A bystander dished: “He was in the studio for hours on end recording and practicing songs. With any luck the results could mean some new material before the end of the year.”
While the Oasis faithful are crossing fingers for fresh hits or even an album, let’s not forget Noel’s dropped four solo albums of late. However, anything new seems to take a backseat to Oasis’ hotly anticipated return after last year’s ticket sale meltdown sent fans into overdrive, desperate for a glimpse of the Gallagher brothers sharing the limelight again since their infamous 2009 Paris throwdown.
Liam did reveal that there won’t be any cosy joint interviews before they hit the road together, despite burying the hatchet on their epic sibling rivalry, reports the Mirror.
Liam, aged 52, shared on X about why he and his brother steer clear of interviews, admitting: “We don’t want to do interviews coz we’re scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship”.
Noel recently ended his silence in a fresh book, opening up about the Oasis Live 25 tour. Chatting with snapper Kevin Cummins, he confessed: “I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.”
When pressed to choose his top Oasis track, Noel cheekily responded: “Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock’n’Roll Star.”
The Gallagher brothers are set to hit the stage together for the first time since their split in 2009, kicking off on July 4 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The band’s lineup is rumoured to be finalised, with rehearsals expected to kick off soon.
Joining Liam and Noel will be drumming sensation Joey Waronker, alongside seasoned former Oasis members strumming the guitars.
The anticipated lineup includes Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker.
