Celebrity Big Brother viewers have admitted they didn’t realise that new housemate Angellica Bell is married to former children’s television presenter Michael Underwood
Celebrity Big Brother fans have admitted they had no idea that Angellica Bell is married to a TV star.
Presenter Angellica is one of the celebs who have moved into the reality TV house for its latest series, where she is rubbing shoulders with the likes of Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke and EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer. But while fans know her for programmes such as The One Show and The Martin Lewis Money Show, it seems many haven’t clocked that she has a famous hubby – former children’s TV presenter Michael Underwood.
Michael, who made his name on programmes including The Big Bang, Jungle Run and Ministry of Mayhem, met Angellica in the late 90s on CBBC. They tied the knot in 2010, exchanging vows in a ceremony in New York.
The couple now have two children together. Son Elijah was born in 2011, and they welcomed daughter Keziah two years later.
The former TV star is a teacher these days, having decided on a career change a few years back. But he is Angellica’s biggest fan as she experiences life in the fly on the wall show.
As the series got under way he posted a sweet video on Instagram saying how he hoped that viewers would get to see the type of person she is. “I just hope she goes in there and shows you what I see every day and have seen every day since we met like 25 years ago, and what I see every day since we’ve been married,” he said.
“You know, just that kind, funny, straight talking person. I hope you get to see that because I think in all the other stuff she’s done on TV, that hasn’t always come through because of the type of show she’s working on.”
“But I’d love it,” he said. “This is her chance just to be herself and I think that will work really well for her.”
Fans were touched by the message – but many were also surprised to discover that Angellica and Michael were married. “MICHAEL UNDERWOOD OFF OF JUNGLE RUN AND ANGELICA BELL ARE MARRIED?? Why did I not know this,” asked one stunned fan.

“Was not aware of this 00s after school TV power couple,” said another. “These two got married?” asked someone else.
“Love that these two are married,” another viewer said. “Aww lovely couple,” said someone else.
Celebrity Big Brother’s latest series started this week, with a new crop of celebs moving into the reality TV pad. Housemates for this year include US TV personality JoJo Siwa, TV host Trisha Goddard, Love Island’s Chris Hughes and former MP Michael Fabricant. Singer Chesney Hawkes and Olympian Daley Thompson are also among the stars to have moved in.
