The ex footballer has confessed an ‘issue’ is bubbling away in his marriage to Abbey Clancy, as the couple have ‘nothing to talk about’
Peter Crouch has opened up on a growing “issue” with his wife Abbey Clancy, following their admission that they’ve been living “separate lives” lately. The couple, who have been married for 14 years and are proud parents to four kids, got candid on their joint podcast ‘Therapy Crouch’.
In the latest episode on ‘Therapy Crouch’, Abbey said how their “separate lives” have left her feeling better than ever. Chatting about their daily routines, with Peter hitting the golf course and Abbey saddling up for horse riding, they agreed that a bit of space has kept their romance going.
But now, Peter’s revealed that Abbey’s horse riding passion is starting to cause problems. On the segment dubbed “weekly whines”, Peter said: “Where do I start? It’s a difficult one, this, because I wanted you to have a passion [horse riding] like I have,” reports OK!
He added: “I feel like you’ve got a passion, but you’ve f***ed me off.” Abbey, never one to hold back, said: “Now you know how I feel.”
Peter continued: “I’m really pleased with your horse riding and all that’s great. But, you know, I’ve kind of wanted you back a bit now.”
Abbey then dished her side of the story, buzzing about finally nabbing the horse she’s been after for “two years”, which led Peter to admit: “My issue is, we don’t talk about anything else, really.” The loved-up duo, who said ‘I do’ in a fairytale wedding back in 2011, has seen their careers flourish.
It comes following an interview with OK! magazine where Abbey was over the moon talking about her life with Peter, and her beau’s given a cheeky nod towards the secret of their robust love life – a healthy dose of independence.
It’s not just all work though – Abbey and Peter have been keeping up with hobbies like swinging golf clubs and horse riding. Apparently, these pastimes aren’t just fun, they’re also fab for fitness, with Abbey using the pastime as part of her recovery regime after feeling under the weather, WalesOnline reported.
Abbey said: “I ride for like over an hour, just over an hour, because I’m building up my fitness, because since skiing, I had that bug. My chest is still not 100%.
“And it’s taking time. I need to fit in the gym as well because it’s a different type of fitness. I was doing my bingo wing exercise today.”
