Mickey Rourke has been removed from the Celebrity Big Brother house with immediate effect after a disagreement with Chris Hughes and his fee could now be slashed
Mickey Rourke is reportedly set to miss out on his rumoured £500,000 fee after being given the boot from the Celebrity Big Brother house due to his behaviour.
The Hollywood actor, who was shown the door yesterday, will allegedly pocket less than his agreed fee following his early exit. “Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV,” an insider spilled to The Sun. “If a celeb gets kicked out of the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that and they’ll be hashing it out with him.
“Mickey was ready to pack his bags and it felt like a mutual decision between him and ITV in the end. It was getting too much.”
Last night, ITV revealed that Mickey had “agreed” to pack his bags and leave the Celebrity Big Brother house after a talk with Big Brother about his continued use of inappropriate language and some questionable behaviour. According to reports, the Hollywood star was kicked out following a spat with fellow contestant Chris Hughes, which spiralled into a display of a threatening atmosphere and aggressive talk.
Since the show hit screens last Monday, The Wrestler’s Micky, 72, has found himself at the centre of several storms – including a homophobia scandal that led to a formal warning from Big Brother earlier this week.
On Wednesday, Mickey got an official warning on the show after he told JoJo Siwa she’d ditch her gay identity after hanging out with him in the house, before saying to the other celebs: “I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick.”
He then announced to the other celebs that he was gagging for “a fag” and, pointing at JoJo, quipped: “I’m not talking to you.”
Chris Hughes then stepped in to correct Mickey’s language – which lead to Mickey being summoned to the diary room for a formal telling-off.
It has also been revealed that Mickey supposedly begged to leave the show hours before his boot. In unearthed Celebrity Big Brother footage, the 72-year-old Oscar nominated actor was seen sat at the dining table where he asked Ella-Rae Wise and Angelica Bell about the format of nomination.
Reluctant to be drawn into a discussion with the Hollywood star, Ella-Rae made a quick exit to the bedroom. But Angelica took a few minutes out to explain to him how nominations worked before following the TOWIE star to the bedroom.
Moments later, Mickey was seen counting down the days until he could be up for nomination after pleading with Ella-Rae and Angelica. Noticing the moment, a fan of the ITV show posted the clip on X and wrote: “It’s Day 6 in the Big Brother House… and Mickey has just discovered what the format of the show is. “
They added: “Now he’s absolutely stunned that there’s another five days until his next possible chance to leave. I can’t. #CBBUK.”
