Lady Gaga headlined Coachella in 2025 to mark her second headline set at the iconic festival, and fans were blown away by the singer’s performance after spotting hidden ‘Easter eggs’
Lady Gaga’s headline performance at Coachella has been lauded by fans, with many eagle-eyed viewers spotting several ‘Easter eggs’ in her act.
The 39 year old superstar’s performance was one of the most eagerly awaited at the first weekend of Coachella, and it didn’t disappoint as many fans hailed it as ‘one of the best Coachella acts of all time’.
This marked the second time Lady Gaga topped the bill at the festival in Indio, California, having previously done so in 2017.
Amid the flood of praise for the singer, several fans were quick to point out various ‘Easter eggs’ that the star had cleverly incorporated into her performance, subtly referencing memorable moments from her career.
It all kicked off when the Abracadabra singer strutted onto the Coachella stage clad in metal armour and wielding crutches, launching her act with a rendition of Paparazzi. Her choice of outfit harked back to the original music video where she makes a comeback after a balcony fall.
Spotting this, one fan took to X to exclaim: “Oh Gaga your mind..”
Another fan shared a video of the performance with a photo of Gaga in the armour, captioning it: “I’m crying!”.
“Some things just don’t change,” a third X user noted, sharing a screenshot of Lady Gaga performing her latest hit Disease at Coachella, which saw her lying in a bed of skeletons and ashes.
They also shared a snap from the end of Gaga’s Bad Romance music video, where the songstress is cosied up in bed with a charred skeleton with ash spread over the bed.
This wasn’t the only nod Gaga gave to that video, as later on in her gig she got stuck into a chess dance-off with a man dressed up as old-school Gaga, complete with the iconic white crown from the legendary Bad Romance video.
Wrapping up her set, the singer slipped into one last outfit change, rocking up on stage in the same laced-up corset bodysuit and thigh-high boots she donned for her Monster Ball tour.
“Lady Gaga’s iconic boots are back!” cheered a chuffed fan online.
Following her blinding performance, swarms of her Little Monsters took to social media, dubbing Lady Gaga’s gig the greatest Coachella show ever.
Some superfan popped onto X, raving: “Best. Coachella. Set. Ever. LADY GAGA DID THAT.”
“Lady Gaga is serving vocals, choreo, visuals, and a STORY all in one performance. this deserves a Grammy in itself idgaf,” praised another adoring admirer.
“She really said TONIGHT IM MAKING A REFERENCE,” scribbled one more, with someone else chirping back: “Coachella 2025 will forever be remembered as Gaga’s festival.”
