Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey has taken to Instagram to open up about a painful health battle that she is currently dealing with, sharing a photo of her stomach
Hailey Bieber has opened about a health battle that’s upsetting her.
The 28-year-old model has been open about her health battles in the past, such as in 2022 when she was rushed to hospital after suffering a blood clot on the brain. She has now revealed that she is dealing with two ovarian cysts.
It comes as her superstar husband Justin has been sparking concern for his wellbeing with his online videos. He has also fuelled rumours of a split between him and Hailey with what some have branded “disrespectful” posts – although Hailey herself has previously brushed off split rumours with sweet posts about Justin.
Hailey took to Instagram on Monday (April 21) with a selfie taken from the sofa that showed her bare stomach. The model told fans: “Currently have 2 ovarian cysts [sad face]. If you deal with ovarian cysts, I’m right there with ya! [heart emoji]”
According to the NHS, an ovarian cyst is a “fluid-filled sac that develops on an ovary”. They are common and do not usually cause any symptoms and most go away in a few months, but some can burst and cause symptoms such as severe pain and bloating.
It’s not the first time Hailey has dealt with the condition. In 2022, she revealed that she had a cyst “the size of an apple”, having sparked speculation that she was pregnant.
Hailey told her fans: “I don’t have endometriosis or PCOS but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it’s never fun. It’s painful and achey and makes me feel nauseous and bloated and crampy and emotional.”
The model welcomed her first child with Justin – baby son Jack Blues – in August 2024. “Welcome Home Jack Blues Bieber,” said Justin in the caption.
Hailey admitted she’d felt stressed at hiding her pregnancy. She told W magazine: “I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly.
“I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”
She added: “I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff”.
Hailey underwent heart surgery in 2022 after a blood clot led to stroke-like symptoms. “I was sitting at breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke like symptoms and was taken to the hospital,” she told her Instagram fans.
“They found I had suffered a very small blood clot to my brain, which caused a small lack of oxygen, but my body had passed it on its own and I recovered completely within a few hours.”
Justin recently sparked more concern from fans during his time at Coachella. He was filmed smoking a roll-up at the festival, next to his 15-year-old brother Jaxon.
