Danny Walters, who played Keanu Taylor in EastEnders, has announced that he has welcomed his first child with his long-time partner Maddi and fans are thrilled with the news
EastEnders star Danny Walters is absolutely thrilled as he’s just announced he’s a first-time dad!.
The 31-year-old actor, who’s best known for playing Keanu Taylor in EastEnders, took to Instagram to share the delightful news that he and his long-term partner Maddi have welcomed a baby girl.
He posted a super cute snap of his little one’s hand and wrote: “One month with you, Autumn. Born March ’25 (sic)”. Danny’s celeb mates have been quick to send their congrats, with EastEnders’ Dianne Parish, aka Denise Fox, dropping a comment: “Ah wow! Congrats to you all Danny. (sic)”.
Emma Barton, who plays Honey Mitchell on the same BBC show, sent her love too, penning: “Congrats darling… [heart emojis] (sic)”.
And Clair Norris, who was Danny’s on-screen sister Bernadette Taylor, couldn’t contain her joy, responding with loads of heart emojis, reports the Mirror.
Danny’s dramatic exit from EastEnders in 2023, which saw his character Keanu get bumped off by Linda Carter, was a massive talking point. At the time, Danny admitted it was tough keeping his departure under wraps, confessing: “It’s been extremely difficult!”.
“I feel like I’ve been very deceitful to my friends and my family and have made many excuses! But, I wanted the storyline to have as much impact as possible for the audience, so I’ve tried my best to keep everything a secret and hopefully, that’s paid off.”
Danny was absolutely buzzing to be at the centre of the EastEnders Christmas special. When asked about his feelings on reading his final script for the show, Danny said: “The Christmas Day episode is a great episode.
“It stands alone, and there is so much to it. The writing in the script was fantastic, and every character had such a great storyline throughout the whole episode.”
He went on to say, “For my character, the episode is a real rollercoaster of emotions from the highs and the lows. It was such a pleasure to be part of.”
His character’s dramatic departure storyline continued to unfold for months after his exit. In March last year, Keanu Taylor’s body was shockingly discovered by locals as a corpse emerged in the café.
Fans were already clued in that on Christmas Day, Keanu met his grisly end at the hands of Linda, who used a meat thermometer to stop him from strangling Sharon Watts. The ‘Walford Six’, which includes Sharon, Linda, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale, and Denise Fox, then conspired to conceal their involvement in the crime.
But the truth was unearthed when Keanu’s body was found buried under the café floor, revealing the group’s deception to the authorities after the floor collapsed.
