Big Brother star breaks silence with ‘hurting’ message after surprise break-up

Big Brother star Henry Southan has broken his silence after confirming his split from Jordan Sangha, with the reality TV star admitting that he is ‘heartbroken’

Big Brother star Henry Southan has given an update following the announcement of his split from Jordan Sangha.

The news broke this week that the Big Brother finalists had parted ways, over a year after they first met on the reality TV show.

The ex-duo were housemates on the inaugural series of ITV’s reboot of the show, which kicked off in October 2023. After a six-week stint in the Big Brother house together, Jordan, now 27, emerged as the winner, while Henry, now 26, secured third place.

They have since kept their fans in the loop about their love story and it was revealed earlier this week that they had called it quits after more than a year together. Following the announcement, Henry shared a heartfelt message with his followers on Tuesday night.

In a post on his Instagram page that evening, Henry expressed: “Hello, I just wanted to say a genuine thank you for all the kind, thoughtful messages today. I’m trying not to look at too much online as it makes me anxious.”

He went on to say: “Truthfully, I’m heartbroken. This was my first relationship, and it’s incredibly painful to see it come to an end. Today has been one of the hardest days of my life, but I’m hopeful that things will get better with time.”, reports the Mirror.

In the same message, Henry added: “I know there’s always going to be chatter when something like this happens – all I’ll say is that I loved deeply, stayed true to myself, gave it everything I could, and I’m hurting a lot right now. Thank you again for all the kindness. It means more than you know.”

Following his split from Jordan, Henry issued a statement saying: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. It’s incredibly sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you. Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”

Jordan also took to social media to announce their separation, posting a message with the caption: “An unfortunate announcement.”

His statement read: “After many times, memories, and precious experiences, Henry and I have parted ways. I want to thank everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”

Like his former partner, Jordan has since updated fans on his situation. He posted a video on TikTok on Wednesday showing him getting ready for the day, saying: “Spend the day with me. Well, today. I hate to wallow in self pity but I suppose I must be honest rather than use humour.”

He continued in the video: “I just wanted to thank everyone for all the messages and all the comments. It is a period of grieving and to be frank, because I usually am, it’s f****** horrible. However, there’s little to be done at present other than let my feelings play out.”

Jordan wrapped up by revealing his motivation for sharing the post, and then outlined his plans. He stated: “You might be thinking ‘Jordan, if you’re so bloody depressed why are you making a social media video?’ Well, I suppose, first, other than write, I make content.”

He added: “Secondly, not to sound self indulgent, but I know that people worry meaning I just thought I’d show myself. I’ll be back on my game soon and plan to go home to see my mum and, yeah, so it’s … we’ll get back from this.”
