Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson was caught locking lips with Love Island star Samie Ellishi in London after his split from Zara McDermott, before the pair left in a taxi
Sam Thompson was spotted snogging a Love Island beauty after his split from ex Zara McDermott.
The Made in Chelsea star, 32, was seen locking lips with Samie Ellishi who appeared on Love Island’s winter series in 2023. The pair were packing on the PDA at Olivia Attwood’s 34th birthday party at Mayfair’s fancy Bacchanalia restaurant in London.
Sam, who split from Zara at the end of last year, seemed smitten with Samie, 25, as he planted a kiss on the brunette outside the venue. The pair were seen getting close throughout the night, chatting in the smoking area of the venue, before they packed on the PDA on the street in the early hours.
They reportedly left the venue and headed to the after-party at Stringfellows, where they reunited with Sam’s best mate and podcast host Pete Wicks, who had left Olivia’s party in a separate cab a few minutes prior.
Sam and Samie left the venue at around 1.30am, arm in arm and shared a kiss before leaving together in a cab. Sam couldn’t stop smiling as he kissed Samie with a hand gently places on her neck.
It’s not known where the pair went after this and whether they continued the night in another venue or not. However, they’ve finally confirmed their romance after weeks of rumours that they were dating.
Sam and Samie were first linked romantically last month; it was said she was cheering him up following the end of his five-year romance with Zara in December. Samie was initially part of the 2023 Love Island cast, before she returned to the villa for the All Stars series this year.
Sam was said to be swapping “flirty messages” with the Love Island star after they followed one another on Instagram. An insider told The Sun: “Sam found the split and its public fall-out very hard but Samie has put a smile back on his face.
“She is a stunning girl and he’s told a few pals about her. He seems excited. Obviously it’s early days, but clearly he has a thing for Love Islanders.”
Sam, who has appeared on Celebs Go Dating three times, recently spoken about going on his first date since the split from Zara. He told his Pete on their Staying Relevant podcast: “I feel like I’m ready to get out there, I think I’m at a stage now where I feel confident enough that I can start approaching females.
“Things are really nice at the moment, I feel like I’m happy.” Sam admitted he’s still “terrified” to date but admitted he’s had help from Pete.
Discussing his date with a mystery lady, who may well have been Samie, he said: “I’ve never been so nervous for those kind of events. It’s fun when you know she hasn’t recoiled and when it’s actually going okay.
“The first part when she walks in, I was on the phone to our producer and the lady in question walked in and I was like ‘she’s beautiful’, she heard me say that and then I hung the phone up”.
It comes after Sam’s ex Zara confirmed her romance with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson. The pair were spotted kissing on holiday in Miami, where they rented an Airbnb.
Zara and Louis, first sparked romance rumours in March, were seen holding hands outside of their holiday accommodation. Louis leaned in for a kiss before she headed off to the airport.
Zara and Louis were also first linked back in March, when they were seen at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh. Snaps in The Sun, taken in secret by a fellow diner at the hotel, showed them enjoying fish and chips and cocktails.
It’s believed he’s already introduced her to his family. A source told the Sun: “Zara has already met all the family and they can tell that she has made Louis giddy.
The source added: “It’s the first time in a long time that they have seen him happy. They think Zara is super wholesome and health-conscious so they are happy he is with someone who shuns the party life.”
