David Beckham’s 50th birthday party was reportedly shut down in the early hours of Sunday morning [4 May] after council workers turned up at the star-studded event
David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash was reportedly brought to an abrupt end.
At 3.35am on 4 May, noise complaints from local residents reportedly prompted the council to step in. The star-studded celebration included A-listers like Guy Ritchie, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay.
The Beckhams and their guests were allegedly asked to keep the noise down after the fancy dinner turned into a full-blown party. Tom Cruise attended with his new girlfriend Ana de Armas, while Becks’ former Manchester United teammate Gary Neville was also spotted getting into the party spirit.
However, the festivities were brought to a sudden halt when two council officers arrived at the restaurant at 3.35am. According to The Sun, a witness said: “David’s party really went off and the longer time went on, the louder the music seemed to get.”
“Some neighbours weren’t very happy when it was still so loud at 2am and leaned out windows to see where the racket was from,” reports The Sun. “Whatever the council said worked because the music stopped immediately.”
According to the report, Kensington and Chelsea Council confirmed providing guidance to reduce disruptions. Daily Star contacted the council for a statement.
They said: “We have a very responsive and professional team who investigate noise complaints and take action where necessary. Usually, and in this case, that means issuing some advice at a location, so disruption is kept to a minimum for residents living nearby.”
Despite the absence of one family member, the Beckhams did not let a reported feud spoil the celebration. Notably missing was their eldest son Brooklyn, 26, amid allegations of a feud involving him and his wife Nicola Peltz.
David shared a close relationship with Brooklyn during his childhood. Brooklyn and his actress wife Nicola, 30, did not to attend the party.
The reported rift between Brooklyn and the rest of the family has been ongoing for months and a source close to the family claimed: “Brooklyn not turning up was a real blow to David.”
“Brooklyn was close with his dad growing up, but he is married now. His wife Nicola is older and confident in her own right and so there is distance between Brooklyn and his parents.”
“It has become a problem and not something they can keep private because of the way the family uses social media. Things have escalated in recent months and there is a very obvious rift that David and Victoria would love to heal.”
After the party, Victoria took to social media with a shoutout that included tags for Romeo, Cruz, and Harper: “Creating special memories with family and friends. We love you all.”
