Blackpink singer and White Lotus star Lisa made her Met Gala debut this year, however her outfit choice left onlookers with a lot of questions after they noticed its details
Blackpink rapper and White Lotus actress Lisa left Met Gala fans confused with her look’s details.
The K-Pop superstar made her debut at the 2025 event, wearing Louis Vuitton. Her bandmates Jennie and Rosé, who have both attended before, also walked the blue carpet on the night, and some of her White Lotus co-stars were there too.
But it was Lisa’s bottomless look that got people talking. She wore a lace bodysuit, but upon further inspection it was noticed that the fabric was adorned with what appeared to be the faces of a number of notable black women, including Rosa Parks.
Fans picked up on it on social media, with one writing: “Rosa Parks on her panties…”
Another wrote: “Who the hell decided it was a good idea to put the faces of influential black women on a pair of panties?”
The timing of the look was also brought up, after videos from Lisa’s training time before making her debut with Blackpink were leaked online in which she could be heard suing the N-word during performances.
One person said: “Rosa Parks on your underwear less than three months after a compilation of you saying the N-word goes viral is kinda crazy but maybe that’s just me.”
However others ignored the scandal, instead praising the look. “She ate,” one person simply said.
Another said: “Good debut for Lisa. She cute, she sexy, she’s a rockstar.” And a third wrote: “She always looks so good.”
It was set to be a night of reunions for Lisa, as her White Lotus co-stars Aimee Lou Wood, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Walton Goggins were also in attendance.
Two more of the four Blackpink members, Jennie and Rosé, were at the event too, both having attended previously. Jisoo, however, was not there.
The four-piece are set to head out on a world tour and release new music later this year, after taking some time away from the group to focus on solo projects.
Speaking to Vogue, APT singer Rosé said: “The last time I came I was by myself, so I’m really excited to see the girls.
“I was just with them in the studio in Korea, so it’s nice to have the family here, it’s really important.”
She teased: “We’ve got new music coming out, so I feel like that’s gonna be a whole different approach to how we’re storytelling this next tour.”
