Halle Berry’s nude illusion outfit caused quite a stir at the 2025 Met Gala.
The Academy Award winner left jaws on the floor as she stepped out wearing a custom LaQuan Smith outfit. Halle’s black sequin gown featured risky see-through stripes that ran from her bust down to her ankles.
The look was edged up with a satin cropped jacket and while rocking the barely-there number, Halle ditched her undies to avoid any unsightly underwear lines.
Making a bombshell return to the Met Gala after eight years, it wasn’t just Halle’s explosive entrance that had people talking – her daring fashion choice lit up social media as fans discussed her sheer ensemble, reports the Mirror US.
“No draw[ers] on fr?” asked one critic, while another said: “I’m seeing far too much.”
One critic vented: “I’m not a prude by any means but why show the whole world how [naked] you can get? I love Halle but this outfit is tasteless.”
Halle may have taken a leaf out of Bianca Censori’s risqué style playbook as the Aussie architect has quite the knack for grabbing headlines with her bold, often underwear-free wardrobe choices.
Bianca faced backlash earlier this year at the 2025 Grammys, where she strutted down the red carpet in a near-invisible stocking dress.
Neither Bianca or her husband Kanye West attended 2025 Met Gala. To stop any potential party-crashing antics, Vogue boss and Met Gala organiser Anna Wintour didn’t take chances and ordered more security.
A source told RadarOnline: “Anna is not messing around. There’s a full protocol in place if Kanye is spotted anywhere near the carpet.”
Kanye shared an unnerving social media post before the star-studded event and hinted at turning up in an outfit reminiscent of a KKK uniform.
