Kim Kardashian suffered a wardrobe blunder at the 2025 Met Gala when one of her security guards accidentally stepped on her dress, and she wasn’t happy about it
Kim Kardashian didn’t look pleased when someone stepped on her dress at the 2025 Met Gala.
The reality TV titan looked incredible when she rocked up to the blue carpet at the glitzy event in a figure-hugging leather look. Kim was one of the later celebs to arrive at the star-studded event, where the theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
It wasn’t all plain-sailing for the billionaire, who was reportedly anxious about a potential run-in with ex Kanye West if he gatecrashed the event. As Kim exited her hotel and made her way to the vent in her Chrome Hearts ensemble, a security guard behind her accidentally stood on the train of her dress.
The bodyguard who had lost his footing caused Kim to stumble for a second. Luckily, she composed herself and managed to continue towards the car waiting for her.
In the TikTok video, Kim can be seen whipping around and raising a stern hand to the man. It’s believed her stern response to the security guard has now been worked out by a lip reading expert.
Nicola Hickling, reports the Mirror US, believes Kim asked the man to be careful and watch his footing. The expert reckons she told the security guard: “Can you watch where you step?”
Kim’s stunning outfit consisted of an open-back corset top and a matching skirt with a long train. She wore an oversized fedora and a dazzling diamond-encrusted choker.
Kim’s look seemed to be inspired by the suits worn by black men in the early 1900s. The event saw A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams co-chair alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
Vogue’s Anna Wintour reportedly beefed up security at the Met Gala due to fears that Kanye West might gatecrash the star-studded bash uninvited.
An insider close to the event spilled to RadarOnline: “Anna is not messing around. There’s a full protocol in place if Kanye is spotted anywhere near the carpet.”
This heightened state of alert comes after Kanye’s unsettling social media stunt where he posted a graphic sketch of what appeared to be a KKK-inspired outfit, stating he would wear it to the Met Gala.
The sketch, shared on his X account showed a figure with a bare chest, boots, gloves and a pointed hood. West captioned the post with “MET BALL 2025,” which ignited a firestorm online.
His fans were quick to slam the design, with many drawing parallels to a similar controversial ensemble West donned in an interview with DJ Akademiks, reports the Mirror US.
The immediate backlash has put the Met Gala team on high alert, fearing Kanye might stir up some headline-grabbing drama on their big night.
A top-tier fashion security expert warned the publication: “It’s not just about the outfit – it’s about the chaos he brings. After what happened at the Grammys, no one’s taking chances.”
