Legendary music man DJ Hazel has been found dead in a car at the age of 44.
The DJ, real name Michał Orzechowski, was found in a parked car near Skępe, Lipno County, in Poland on May 7. Details of his death have not yet been released, however they have been described as “mysterious circumstances”.
His cause of death is also as of yet unclear. It has sparked a police investigation, according to local news outlet TVP3 Bydgoszcz.
Police spokesperson Małgorzata Małkińska told the Pinnacle Gazette that cops are trying to figure out what had happened to the European DJ.

DH Hazel was a big name in the electronic music scene in the late 1990s. He gained the nickname the “Fastest Hands of Europe” and also the title of European Vice-Champion at the European DJ Championships in Germany.
Since the tragic news emerged, tributes have been shared on social media.
One person wrote: “OMG! Maestro RIP!”
Another said: “My heart breaks at the news of the death of DJ Hazel – a true Polish patriot. His music was amazing, full of energy and passion.

A third commented: “Thank you for the music and the memories – you’ll be deeply missed. RIP DJ Hazel.”
Someone else said: “You will always be in our hearts. RIP legend.”
On Facebook, Polish DJ Pawbeats said (translated from Polish): “DJ Hazel is dead, I can’t believe it. Michał was one of the first who wasn’t afraid of totally ‘unacceptable’ combinations for those times, like playing ‘Weź piórkę’ with Pawbeats Orchestra at Przystanek Woodstock.
“Thank you for the most famous bubble in Poland, for those 15 bubbles, for being a total dude with an inimitable distance and a mine of anecdotes at every meeting in Bydgoszcz (and not only). My heart breaks.”
