A former Playboy model has ended up homeless and living in a tent after a stint in Hugh Hefner’s infamous mansion.

Louise Glover, 42, who was once described by the Playboy as the British Carmen Electra, ended up homeless after “impossible” rent hikes over the past six months. She is now living in a tent.

The beauty has started a GoFundMe page to try and get enough money to buy a houseboat so she can ditch the tent. She has said she needs around £9,000 to buy a boat, which would help her feel “safe” and “secure”.

Louise has also been trying to find work, but described it as “so hard”.

She told The Sun: “People say to me, ‘Go get a job.’ But I am all over the place. I am still homeless, so I am living day to day.”

Louise had been living in a £550-a-month room in a shared flat in Windsor, but her businesses started to go down hill just as her rent was hiked to £750.

It’s a stark change from her days earning hundreds a day as a model, 20 years ago.

On the GoFundMe page, Louise said: “I’m trying to raise enough money to move forward to buy a small cabin boat to live on – something dry, safe and simple, the boat doesn’t have to be perfect, just functional.

“For someone like me, a boat offers stability, affordable and realistic long-term housing solution.

“It gives me independence, security, and a chance to finally exhale. I’ll have a roof over my head, a door I can lock, and a space to call my own.”

Louise was Playboy’s first British Model of the Year after getting her first test shoot in London aged 20.

What followed was jet-setting around the world and attending celebrity parties, as well as posing for the mag’s iconic shoots.

She also had a room at the Playboy mansion – rent-free.

Describing her time there, Louise said: “It was the best time, like another world. I didn’t even think about it that much at the time, but I was hanging out with the biggest names in the world.” She described Hugh as a “total gentleman”.

Sadly, her life took a turn when she was 27, as she contracted septicemia after getting breast implants, which caused a cardiac arrest and a five-week hospital stay.

That was when she turned to wellness, training as a personal trainer, which she hopes to return to as soon as she can.
