Cassie Ventura’s testimony in the P. Diddy case mentioned a couple of other celebs, including Drake and French Montana, while she levied abuse allegations against the Bad Boy Records owner
Cassie Ventura’s explosive testimony against Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has brought a few more celebrity names into the spotlight.
Both Drake and French Montana were mentioned as Cassie made allegations of abuse against Diddy. She claimed that a physical altercation with Diddy occurred while she was packing for Drake’s music festival in Canada. Allegedly, Diddy became violent with her friends before reportedly throwing her into a bed frame.
The incident resulted in a “pretty significant gash,” according to her testimony. Cassie stated that Diddy’s team took her to a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who stitched up the wound before she attended the festival.
Neither Drake nor French Montana have been accused of any wrongdoing in relation to the Diddy case.
“So you can remember,” Cassie texted Diddy along with a photo of her injured face.
Diddy allegedly responded, “You don’t know when to stop. You pushed it too far. And continued to push. Sad.”
French Montana was then mentioned as Cassie described a photo she took with the rapper at the festival.
Kid Cudi was also mentioned during Wednesday’s testimony. In an email to her mum, Cassie alleged that Diddy threatened to “hurt” her and Kid Cudi, who she was seeing at the time.
However, she claimed, Diddy supposedly stated that he wouldn’t be doing it himself, ominously hinting he’d be out of the country.
She said, “He told me about videos that he had that he was going to release, and that he was going to hurt [Kid Cudi] and I.”
During the jury selection, which began on May 5, lawyers read prospective jurors a list of names, asking them to note if they knew or had any connection to these stars.
Previously, celebrities like Mike Myers and Michael B. Jordan were mentioned by lawyers.
In addition to Mike and Michael, the list featured Kid Cudi, Kanye West, Dallas Austin, Laurieann Gibson, Dawn Richard, Harve Pierre, Michelle Williams, Cassie Ventura, and Al B. Sure!
These celebs were not implicated in any wrongdoing by prosecutors, nor was it explicitly stated why they were on the list.
Diddy is up against five charges across three federal indictments, including sex trafficking, conspiracy racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges levelled against him and he strongly refutes all allegations of misconduct against him, including those made in civil lawsuits.
