JoJo Siwa’s mum appears to support a romance between Chris Hughes and her famous daughter.
JoJo, 21, and Chris, 32, formed a strong – and perhaps unlikely – friendship in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Many fans wondered if something romantic going on between them. JoJo was in a relationship with non-binary Kath Ebbs at the time but later revealed she was “queer” rather then a lesbian.
JoJo broke up with Kath at the show’s wrap party and has been spending lots of time with Chris since – fuelling the romance rumours in the process. JoJo recently celebrated her 22nd birthday and former Love Island star Chris flew out to America to see her.
He watched her perform at one of her shows in Mexico and the pair were spotted holding hands at Disneyland together. But now, it seems there is almost definitely something romantic brewing as they’ve been caught sharing a kiss in a swimming pool.
Pics obtained by The Sun captured the intimate moment, which saw Chris and JoJo locking lips in the pool at an adults-only hotel in Mexico. They pair were straddling a lido and sharing the smooch in full view of the other swimmers.
And it seems like JoJo’s mum Jessalynn is a big fan of Chris as she’s been reposting fan-made TikTok videos claiming the stars are loved up. According to The Sun, the most recent one she posted was of the moment JoJo performed a cover of Kim Carnes’ Bette Davis Eyes.
JoJo decided to change the lyrics to the song to “Chris Hughes’ eyes” and gave a suggestive look as she did so. It sent fans into meltdown and many believed it was crystal clear that JoJo and Chris were an item.
Jessalyn and Chris’ mum Valerie have also followed one another on social media, showing the families are growing closer.
It comes after Chris shared a round-up of photos from his time with JoJo, captioned: “The previous seven days have been the prettiest.” JoJo replied: “And happiest. Heart is overflowing.”
Fans and famous friends rushed to the comments, with Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison saying: “You look so happy,” while Megan McKenna said: “Erm. Obsessed with you both.”
Someone else begged: “This has to be a hard launch.” Another wrote: “If you guys come out and say you’re still just friends after this, my heart is gonna break.”
An onlooker told The Sun: “JoJo and Chris looked very loved-up and as they snogged in full view of other holidaymakers. They spent their time at the hotel holding hands and looked like a giddy couple in the early throes of love. It was nice to see.
“They were very hands on, not entirely different to how they were on TV just a bit more intimate. JoJo seemed totally relaxed, really in love and not in any way the JoJo we see when she’s on stage. They’re just totally comfortable around each other.”
