Rapper Kid Cudi has appeared in court for P Diddy’s trial claiming that a Molotov cocktail was allegedly thrown at his car and that P Diddy allegedly broke into his house
Kid Cudi has accused P Diddy of breaking into his home.
The rapper appeared at P Diddy’s trial and claimed a Molotov cocktail was allegedly thrown at his car back in January 2012. Cudi claimed that he was around 45 minutes from his home when he got a call from his dog sitter, who told him that his Porsche was on fire.
Cudi allegedly rushed home to call the police. Photos of a damaged Porsche were shown in court.
Pictures showed a hole in the roof where the Molotov cocktail was allegedly thrown into and the car’s charred interior. Cudi claimed that a Molotov cocktail bottle was allegedly found on the floor next to the car.
A Molotov cocktail is a hand-thrown weapon made using flammable substances in a glass bottle.
Kid Cudi also claimed that Diddy once broke into his home. He told the court that he briefly dated Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, around the year 2011.
He said that he was aware of her history with Diddy but understood that “they weren’t dating anymore”.
Cudi claimed that in December 2011 he received a call from Cassie, who sounded “stressed and scared,” as she explained that Diddy had discovered that they were dating.
Kid Cudi claimed that he took Cassie to an LA hotel to keep her “safe, away from him,” and while they were there he received a call from friend Capricorn Clark.
Clark informed him that Diddy was allegedly inside Cudi’s house.
Combs allegedly wanted to talk to Cudi and said: “I’m over here waiting for you.” Cudi told the court that when he arrived home, he discovered that his home security cameras had been tampered with and were no longer in working condition.
Cudi also claimed that gifts for his loved ones had been opened and looked through, and that his pet dog had been locked in a bathroom.
The rapper claimed his dog was “jittery and on edge”. Cudi told the court: “I wanted to confront him, I wanted to fight him,” but later decided to file a police report.
Combs’ lawyer Brian Steele asked if Cudi knew DNA had been collected from his Porsche and tests show that it belonged to a female.
The Pursuit of Happiness singer said that he never had a follow-up from police and confirmed that he did not have any witnesses of Combs or anyone affiliated with him on his property.
Cudi claimed that the last time he saw Cassie Ventura was in 2012. After the Molotov cocktail incident, he saw Diddy at SoHo House in Hollywood and the rapper’s security walked Cudi into a meeting room.
Kid Cudi described Diddy as looking like “a Marvel super villain” while looking out the windows with his hands held behind his back.
He claimed that Diddy was calm, offered him water twice, told Cudi that they were “homies” and that Cassie was his “girl”. Cudi told Diddy that he believed he and Cassie were broken up at the time of their relationship.
